A New Beginning

Rafiki carefully takes the small cub in his arms. He gives Chaka and Akila a smile.

"What a beautiful son. What is his name?" Rafiki asks. Chaka hesitates but Akila knows just what to name him.

"Auni," Akila says in her sweet soft voice. She nuzzles her cub listening to him purr.

"He's is beautiful and he has your eyes," Rafiki chuckles looking at Chaka.

"He sure does," Chaka replies, he stares at his cub in amazement.
