Fear of a Memory
Ikey! Aashi called out.
Ike stopped and turned around to face his little brother who was running up to him.
Let's play! Aashi said with a little grin on his face.
Well come on then! Try and catch me! Ike said, running toward a rock to hide behind. As he went around the rock, he saw his five friends as adults, waiting for him.
There you are! Mili said smiling.
Ike turned around seeing a different scenery. He walked over to a pool of water and saw that he was an adult lion, too.
You had Taj, Mili, and Mckinley worried. Tavar said.
S-sorry everyone. Ike said smiling.
Elye, Mili, Tavar, Taj, and Mckinley started walking to the cave. When Ike caught up to them, he saw an evil looking lion killing his friends.
NO!!! STOP IT!! Ike roared.
Ike tried running over to the lion, but he couldn't move. Everything flashed before him. Then he walked into the entrance of his old cave. When he walked in, he saw all of his friends dead, laying in pools of blood. Ike looked around, he saw a smaller body. He slowly walked toward it. He saw his brother, Aashi, dead laying in a pool of his own blood.
What's wrong, Ike?! A familiar voice rang out of the back of the cave. He saw Efah, his older brother, walk into the light, grinning his evil grin. Somehow, Efah looked bigger and eviler then he did before.
Ike looked at himself and saw that he was a cub again.
Here! Let me put you out of your misery! Efah roared, jumping at Ike, his claws unsheathed.
NOOOO!!! Ike shouted.
WHAT?! WHAT'S GOING ON?! Elye said, waking up and jumping to his feet.
Ike looked around and saw that he was back in their cave.
What's wrong, Ike? Mili said walking over to him, yawning.
Oh... Uh... It was just a dream. Ike said.
What the heck, Ike?! Are you trying to give us all a heart attack?! Elye said, obviously ticked off.
Sorry. Ike said laying his head down in between his two paws.
What was your dream about? Mckinley asked, walking over.
I was... uh... dreaming about Elye eating the best part of a zebra. Ike said, looking over at Elye.
Why would you dream about that? Elye asked.
You know you do hog all of the best parts of a zebra. Mckinley said, chuckling.
No I don't! Elye said laying back down again.
Mili and Mckinley also went back to their spots and lay down again.
Goodnight. Mili said.
Yeah... Goodnight. Ike said, falling asleep again.

Yes, Ike was just dreaming and woke everyone up and ticked off Elye in the middle of the night . I tried to get the background into a sort of dreaming and gloomy feeling. Also, why was Ike dreaming he was an adult? Because Ike thinks if he's an adult he can protect his friends and that he can be stronger. But, when he changed back into his cub form, he thinks he was weak because he couldn't protect his younger brother.
