Unexpected Encounter
On her travels, Mchumba certainly hadn't expected to come across lands as lush as the Pridelands. The rainy season had just begun but already the grass was green and the herds plentiful. It seemed like heaven on earth, and she was eager to explore it; perhaps there was a pride here she could join.
Unbeknownst to her, at the same time she was admiring these lands, Scarabir was protecting them. Out on his daily patrol, he soon spotted the lioness and followed her until he could corner her and question her. His initial call to attention startled Mchumba, and placed before the large, dark male, she was speechless.
Though he demanded she answer his questions, Mchumba only stumbled over her words, and his suspicions continued to grow. Eventually, he ordered her out of the Pridelands and she agreed, though as Mchumba crossed the border her heart burned in shame.
'I really screwed that up, didn't I?'

So this is Mchumba and Scarabir's first meeting! It didn't go as well as she would've liked, but in due time the two will meet again and again until, slowly but surely, their acquaintanceship turns to friendship, and later on something more...
