Siblings Bonding

Siblings Bonding

Rasul takes Sana out for a bit, mostly just to talk. The two had never gotten along and always argued. Following their escape from the Pride Lands, Rasul decided that he need to change his relationship with Sana if they were ever going to survive out in the middle of nowhere. He brought her away from any distractions and sighed, 'Sana, things are going to change now that...'

"I 'know, I know! Why does everyone treat me like I'm an idiot?! I saw it happen. I know what it means,' Sana snapped at her older brother. Rasul was a bit taken back by that reply. He remained quiet, letting Sana cool off after her outburst. Sana turned away and grumbled something to herself. Sadly, Rasul couldn't hear what she was exactly saying and he was a bit too afraid to ask.

'I need you to really listen to me. We're on our own out here. It's not like before. I just need you to make this a bit easier on me,' Rasul explained. Sana nodded, in agreement, but that didn't satisfy Rasul enough. Rasul watched the way his younger sister just stood there. She seemed different. He couldn't exactly understand what was so different about her but something was. She wasn't the same. She would never be. 'You're a very strong lioness, Sana. Dad would've been proud,' Rasul added. Just like he hoped, he got a reaction from Sana. Her ears perked up and she looked at him and smiled. It wasn't a big cheery smile, like usual, but it was a start.

'Dad would've been proud of you too,' Sana replied. Rasul returned the little smile. That was the greatest thing anyone could have ever told him.
