Jua's parents left in the pride lands when she was born. A lioness took adopted her. That lioness was friends with Nala and would often visit her. One day when Jua was a cub, she got very excited about visiting Nala. She wanted to meet the cubs and become friends with them but there was only one cub that she met. The cub's name was Kiara. They became friends very soon. One day Jua ran off to another pride. She met a mean lioness named Nu. Soon she found out that the lioness was her sister. Jua started following Nu everywhere she would go. Jua started wanting to hunt like Nu but she was too young to hunt. She started to love her big sister but Nu would get annoyed. Eventually Jua decided to live in Makai's pride and Nu to take care of her. She would sometimes run off to see her old step mother and Nala and Kiara but most of te time she was with Nu.
