Uru cast her gaze around the circle of hyenas, looking for the best one to attack first. A weaker one would be easier, but she would have to fight it eventually anyway. No, it was far better to tackle the stronger ones first, while she had the element of surprise...relatively speaking. Aha! That female in front of her looked quite strong, and was coming the closest. She had to be the leader. Uru tensed and sprang at the hyena before the pack could react. It took only the impact of Uru's initial pounce to knock the hyena unconscious. She whipped around, ready for the others. The hyenas came forward, clearly angry, but they looked slightly fearful now that they'd lost their leader. In a matter of minutes the physically superior lioness had either injured or scared off (or both) every last one. Panting slightly, Uru pulled herself back up to the ridge she'd been standing on.
