"Well, look what we have here," Uru said calmly, glancing around the ring of hyenas. "What a welcoming committee."

"Shut up," one of the hyenas growled.

"Ooh, touchy," Uru commented. "There's...let's see...ten of you, and only one of me. Funny that you think so lowly of yourself that you had to recruit that many to make this battle fair."

"I said, shut up!" the same hyena growled. "This is our territory, fair and square! Go back to your precious kingdom and nobody gets hurt."

Uru sighed dramatically. "Oh, be still my quaking legs. I'm being threatened by a fleabag."

"That is IT!"

The pack descended on Uru before she was ready. She swiped and snarled, but her efforts had little effect. They were mostly piling on top of her. She flinched as their claws dug into her back. She tried to roll over on top of them, but they were too heavy. Curse it all. It was dumb to insult them. She'd been asking for it. She winced with each new blow. This was not looking very good for her.

Uru summoned her breath and said...

1/ "All right, I surrender!"

2/ "Is that all you got?!"

3/ "Get the [bleep] off of me! This is assault! I will report this to the proper authorities!"
