Timone pushed Ahida ahead of him as they scrambled across the log. Luckily they were light creatures so the log didn't sink. It felt oddly knobbly to the touch, thought Timone as they sprang to the other bank. Only then did they realise that they wouldn't be able to climb up the steep bank in time! They were at a dead end. Panting, they stared in horror as the hyenas began to cross the log after them! They cackled evilly and smacked their lips.

"Dinner is served, everybody!" Banzai hissed through his teeth.

Then sudenly the log exploded out of the water, and turned into a huge pair of jaws with razor sharp teeth! It was a massive crocodile! The hyenas were sent flying into the air, and when they landed with a splash in the water, They swam for land as fast as they could! Being land creatures that could only do doggy paddle, this wasn't very fast at all! The hyenas didn't look back, and shrieking they tried to pull themselves out of the water desperatley trying to escape. Ed howled in pain, the crocodile had got his tail and was trying to pull him back in! He yelped in panic, his claws scraping along the sand as he was dragged back in. In his terror he managed to escape the crocdile's jaws and they all fled, howling into the distance. Disappointed, the crocodile sunk back beneath the water.

Timone and Ahida managed to cross safely back along the rocks and sat on the grass, laughing with relief.

"Now where were we before we were interupted?" Ahida asked.
