Eragon jumps over them and runs the other direction, but is soon stopped by a lion. He doesn't say a word and just stays in the shadows. Eragon gulps and low to the ground goes the other way, but is stopped by the hyenas. "What should we do with him?" asked on of them.

The lion answered, "You three leave. I'll handle this." Eragon watched as the lion punced and pinned him to the ground.
