Nala managed to convince Simba to leave the cub alone. However when they started to back off, the cub yelped louder. It seemed to want them to be there. Nala and Simba made hushing gestures but they didn't seem to help. That was when they heard a growl behind them.

"Oh oh"

They turned around to face Mufasa.

"What have I told you about the edge!" He roared.

They were safely escorted back to the pridelands and were given a good talking to. It doesn't seem like Nala and Simba will be allowed to wander off on their own anytime soon.
