Baby Kiara ventured on, overwhelming excitment bubbling up inside her. She sniffed the fresh air franticly, wailing with excitment. She was really pleased that Simba and Nala had let her out for the first time. She felt extremely grown-up and really proud of herself. She had only explored the land within a few metres but it seemed to her that she had explored for miles! The sightings were incredable! She cowered a little as she gazed at the pride lands, which, to her, seemed to go on forever. How was a delicate young cub going to cope?

She coughed and spluttered as the tremendous smell of elephant dung was carried along with the relaxing breeze. She stroked the texturised crumbled earth as the sound of squaking birds pierced her ears. They soared through the air, swooping back and forth.  Kiara admired the colourful heavenly flowers  as the sweet pollen entered her nostrils. The scent was sensational! Brittle leaves swirled around her in a craze. Kiara wrinkled up her nose and pawed at them with annoyance. Kiara glided over swiftly to the exquisite rippling river, gazing at it's unique beauty. Despite the fact that her parents had ordered her to stay away from rivers, resisting the temptation to jump in was over powering. However, as she remembered what her mum had said about the horrofying creatures that lurked there, she didn't hesitate to back off, cringing.

''Nasty Crocadiules' '' murmered Kiara cursingly.

She trotted on, her luxurious golden coat glittering as she did so.

Kiara scrambled up welcoming pride rock, her contracting muscles aching as she did so. Lions bathed in the scorching sun, outstretched and relaxing. Kiara growled lowly to herself as her hind legs began to slip. She tensed her front legs, gripping on with determination. She dug in her suprisingly sharp claws and heaved herself up instantly. As she reached the top, she noticed the relief on her parents faces. They came galloping towards her. They greeted her comfortingly, smothering her with loving caresses. They praised her on the success of her first journey out. Kiara purred pleasantly, loving the over loading amount of attention.

'' So, sweetie, tell us about your first journey. Your a big girl now!'' protested Nala proudly. Simba edged in closer, listening carefully to his daughter. He rubbed his paw against her head roughly, also proud of her achievment.

''Well,'' Began Kiara, '' I loved it, i can't wait to go again tomorrow!'' She turned to Simba, '' I even saw another male lion who i have never seen before. He looked just like you! He says he's my grandpa Mufassa.'' Finished Kiara as she glanced at Simba, who staggered off, tears peircing his eyes. Nala rubbed her head against Kiara's, soothing her and then trotted off to find Simba.

She must have been imagining it, Mufassa is dead, though Nala cautiously. But how did she know his name? Simba couldn't bare saying his name, he meant a lot to him. And the way she described him. Nala shuddered.

Kiara formed into a little ball, yawning with exhaustion. The sound of trotting Lions echoed in her timid ears.

''Wake up.'' muttered Vitani as she nudged Simba inpatiently, ''Wake up!'' Her tail swayed stubbornly, also acting as a fly squat.

Simba awoke abruptively and rose to his feet. He cleared his throat and blinked several times, trying to overcome the tiredness. He could make out the sillhouette of vitani vaguely. He blinked once more and his vision was clear.

'' Two unknown lions spotted in the Pride Lands, taking down anything in it's path. Kiara went to explore but Nala has gone searching for her. Go and help.'' explained Vitani as she nudged him encouragingly. Simba, without hesitation, bounded off. His muscular legs pounded the ground fiercely as he roared aggresively.

He gazed at the blue sky and hoped the wise kings would watch over his pride. Tension crept inside his body. His heart raced like a stampede off elephants. Trembling slightly, he raced on. He dashed around, scanning the lands. He smelt the air; it smelt deadly and of blood....

'' NALA, KIARA!'' he roared with frustration, fearing the worst.

'' Here i am daddy!'' Kiara yelled playfully a few metres away in the distance.

''Kiara? Kiara!'' he exclaimed as he leaped towards her. She had created her own little den in the soil.

''This is a great hiding place! The naughty lions didn't see me!'' explained Kiara giddily. She giggeld to herself triumphantly. She made a few finishing touches and padded at the soil, creating a extra sterm and stable hold. She waved at it, as if to present it to the Pride Lands.

Simba panted heavily, thankful that he had found her.

''Where's your mother?'' he asked questioningly, dreading the thought of her being hurt. He suddenly felt cold; a ghostly atmosphere sweeping over him.

''Don't worry about mummy,'' chuckled Kiara, '' She gave them a good telling off! After, she came up to me and said that she loved us both and that she had to go with Grandpa Mufasssa for a while.''

Rage flowed through Simba. He began to shake a little, eyes wide. He dug his claws into the ground, releasing some of his anger and stress. A part of him believed that Kiara had a gift, but a part of him loved Nala too much to believe his daughter.

''Don't you dare says things and lie like that about your mother!'' He declared, gritting his teeth. ''Do you have any sense at all?!''

Kiara nodded.

''Yes, mummy says i have six...''
