"Chigenda! Chigenda!" two little fur balls of energy chanted as they sprang up to the sleeping male teen cub. He lifted his left black lid revealing a red eye color. He stretched and yawned before answering to the cubs.

"What is it?" he asked bluntly, his eyes fluttering trying to stay open. It was in the middle of the day, and Chigenda was normally nocturnal on night hunts.

"Wanna know a secret?" whispered the male cub.

"Do I want to know? 'Cause if it's just somethin' stupid I'll kick yer butt, Simba" Chigenda teased.

"Yeah! It's at the wateringhole!" the female cub blurted out with energy to spare.

"... What's so great about the wateringhole?" Chigenda asked with one brow up.

" Me an' Nala will show you if ya come!" Simba promised.

"Why do ya want me to come anyway?" Chigenda asked as he stood up and shook his tiny black mane.

"Zazu is gonna babysit us if you don't come" Nala answered. Chigenda walked with them outside the den, his orange pelt shimmered under the sunlight. He followed them until they came to the edge of Priderock, where he sat down.

"You know if Zazu is gonna babysit you two then yer parents must have a good reason" Chigenda said as his right ear flicked at a fly.

"Awwwww! But that dodo is so booooooring!!!!" the cubs whined.

"No, you two have fun at the wateringhole and I'll be waiting for yer return" Chigenda promised. The cubs' ears flattened with sad eyes, they sighed and walked away with tails down. Those were the glory days. But ever since King Mufasa and Simba's death nothing was the same.

"CHIGENDAAAAAAAAAA!" roared the new king, agrivatved with the young lion who hunted no more. Instead of hunting he spent his days and nights within the den. If anyone bothered him he would growl and unseath his claws. Not even Nala was welcome.

At his "majesty's" call he sulked from the den and greeted his new king with a death-glare.

"Yes, Scar?" hissed the cub, ready for a fight.

"Is that a CHALLENGE?!" Scar roared louder. Chigenda said nothing and kept glaring at the scrawny lion. Scar ignored this and circled him, but as Scar turned so did Chigenda.

"As your new king you shall call me your highness, majesty, or sire! Never shall you say my name so casually!" the lion decreed. Chigenda smirked, he looked down as he laughed and shook his head.

"What is so funny?!" Scar demanded.

"You, you really think you're my king?! You will NEVER be my king as long as I live!" Chigenda roared.

"Well, then I shall cut your life short!" Scar growled and pounced Chigenda, but the young lion was quicker than he was and got out of the way. Once Scar's back was facing him, Chigenda pounced and bit his neck. Scar rolled over and got Chigenda off his back and neck. Chigenda got up as fast as he could but Scar had already grabbed his neck and threw the cub across Priderock, tumbling to the bottom where the lionesses were gathered. Disoriented he got up and staggered a bit. Suddenly he met the ground again. Something was crushing him. It was wrapped around his neck and on top his tiny body. He suddenly realized it was Scar.

"Stop Scar!" A lionesses pleaded, obviously still torn by Mufasa and Simba's death. Others joined in, even Nala came. It had seemed that they had presuaded Scar because the wieght lifted off of him. Chigenda got up, he faced Scar even though he was hurt badly, his nose bled and his whole body was covered in brusies.

"Fine" Scar growled "But you are to leave the pridelands, go! before I change my mind!" . Chigenda's feet stayed glued to the ground. But, then Sarabi came.

"Please, go Chigenda.... we can't handle anymore deaths" the lioness pleaded. Chigenda looked away, he didn't want her to see him crying.

"I'll be back" he whispered and ran off. Into the savanna, although he was hurt, leaving the pride was the best thing that could ever happen to him.

It had been days since he left Priderock and the Pridelands. Chigenda looked for other rouge lionesses, for he knew if he made a pride of his own he would have better chances of survival. But there was none. Suddenly there was a grunt. Chigenda's hopes went high, but when he found the source of that sound he only saw a cheetah and a hyena. They had just killed an antelope and feasting on it. The young lion's stomach growled and caught the attention of the twosome. He quickly hid behind the tall grass.

"Hey! Come 'ere! It's alright! We have too much for ourselves" The female cheetah promised. Chigenda anxiously crawled out into view, with his ears flattened he grabbed a mouthful and gulped it down.

"So how'd a Pridelander come so low as to sharing a meal with a hyena?" the wild dog jested. Chigenda glared at the young hyena. The hyena jumped and backed off a bit. Chigenda finally sighed and sat up.

"I.... I was kicked out" Chigenda admitted as he looked away.

"Yeah? So were we!" the young cheetah said, though up close she looked alot like a jungle cat too "I'm Kisa, and that over there is Kage"

"Why were you kicked out?" Kage asked

"... I ummm... attacked Scar" Chigenda said.

"Tension is pretty high isn't it?" Kisa said, as if she knew how it felt.

"I guess.... so why were you two banished?"

"I once was under the employment of Scar... until I spoke my mind and was exiled" Kade said proudly, he seemed happy to be out of the Pridelands where hyenas practicly ruled.

"And like every other competitor out there, I was banished because I was 'stealing' food, but I caught my food fair and square! Honest to the past kings!" Kisa said flusstered, she was just as upset as Chigenda, unlike her friend. Chigenda looked at the two and thought there was no other couple like them.

"Hey, ya know what? Screw Priderock! Let's make our own pride!" Chigenda announced.

"....Wow, that was out in the blue..... but even if we do where will it be?" Kage asked

"I know an unclaimed territory beyond the desert" Kisa said

"Great! Let's go!... Kisa lead the way!" Chigenda ordered, and they were off. To an uncertain future and place. And this is just the begining...
