Chapter One: Lanie, Meet Jambo and Maliki!

My name is Lanie. I normally watch the royal cubs, Maliki and Jambo! This is their story and how I felt about it. It all started one chilly morning. I was awoken by one of the lionesses. "Lanie wake up!" I woke up. She said Kiara's cubs had been born. "REALLY??" "Shhh!" "Oh sorry! Really?" "Yes really. And you can see them if you be very quiet!" "Yay!" So I went with her over to where Vitani, Nala, and Kiara were. I looked in Kiara's paws and I saw the cutest little cubs I have ever seen! "What are their names, Kiara?" I asked her. "This goldish one is Maliki, and that brownish one is named Jambo!" "Awwwwwww!" I said. "shh!" "aww!" Just then, Kovu, the new king of the Pridelands, walked in. "I have banished Dotty and her daughter Scarlett. They have forbidin the rules of the Pridelands." He said with mighty, kingly accent. "Well, where did you send them?" Asked the very tired Kiara. "They have been sent back to the Outlands. They cannot follow our rules." "Kovu, did you even give them a second chance?" "Well, um, I uh," "Exactly. Now come see your new kids!" Kovu slowly and quietly approched the newborn cubs, smiling. "Maliki and Jambo are their names." "YES!" I screamed. "SHHH!!!!" "oh, sorry." So with that, Jambo and Maliki grew into strong, healthy, cubs! One day......

Chapter Two: The Babysitter

"You said wha-?" " I want you to be the cubs babysitter. Don't worry- they're not much trouble so they shouldn't be trouble for you or they will have big consequences. Understand, boys?" She turns over to Maliki and Jambo. "*gulp* mm hmm!" "Good. Now, remember, only let them go far away places if you're with them! And don't leave them there to! Oh and make sure-" "Don't worry Kiara! I have them under control! And besides, they think I'm fun! So don't worry about us!" I said to her. Kiara sighed, said go on, and we were out of Pride Rock before you could say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! When we were about 1/4 of a mile away from Pride Rock, Maliki said this "Lanie? Let's go to the gorge!" "Umm..... okay....?" Then the two ran off. I quickly ran after them. Who knows what could have happened if I hadn't gotten there? I could hear them giggling  happily as I finally caught up with them. "Isn't it neat, Lanie?" "Uhhh,yeah it's great. Now let's go home before-" "Are you kidding?? This place is awesome! Just a few more minutes! Please?" I could tell they'd go bezerk if I took them home. So I said...."Fine." They happily giggled and ran. But it got me worried. I didn't want one of them to fall of accidentally. Then Jambo slipped. I gasped, he was about two inches from that cliff. I knew I couldn't do much, so I just said: "Are you okay, Jambo?" He nodded. Then they went back to playing.

Chapter 3: Meanwhile, in the Outlands....

In the Outlands, a lioness named Dotty and her cub Scarlett were banished by King Kovu. What for, you ask? Dotty tried to kill Kiara before Jambo and Maliki were born. And Kovu knew he couldn't take care of more than two, so he sent Scarlett with her. Scarlett is a few weeks older than Maliki and Jambo. She is also very much like Vitani. She also hates her mother mostly because she got them banished. But she wasn't giving up yet. So with that, she had a plan. And I hate to admit it, but it was a good plan. "Mother! I have a new plan!" "Scarlett, none of your plans actually work." Scarlett was puzzled for a second, then went back to talking. "But this one is going to work fabulously! Wanna hear it??? Huh huh huh??" "Go for it." "Okay! What we do is....." Scarlett explained the plan. While she explained, a smile slowly came across Dotty's face. "For once," Dotty said "This might actually work.! It's brilliant!" "Isn't it...!" So with that, the two mischeiviously started their new plan. But will it work...? Is anyone involved in it...? I can't say who will die in here, but let's just say it is a Pridelander.....

Chapter 4: The plan....In Action!

Now we will go back to where me, Maliki and Jambo were. When we got back to Pride Rock, it was pretty late, and I could tell Kiara didn't want an explanation for why we were late. So the two cubs just went to bed and so did I. The next day, Scarlett was in the Pridelands. "Okay. You know the plan right, mom?" "Yup! I know it perfectly! See ya when the job is done." "Right!" So Scarlett came up to me and said "Excuse me, but my mommy abandoned me! And I don't have a home! Can I live with you in the Pwidelands?" She was sounding like a 4 year old girl who was desperate of food. Of course at the time, I had no clue she was Scarlett and that it was a trap, so I told her Kovu would have to decide on that. On our way there, I asked her what her name was. She said her name was Starly.(Star-LEE) So I accepted it. And unfortunalty, so did Kovu. He let her stay. But what I was scared of was that she would become betrothed with... whoever the next king was going to be... but we'll get to that story later. But what will Scarlett do next...? Who will she kill...? What is next? Well, read on and find out!(grab your popcorn! x3)

Chapter 5:But...Why me....?!?!

Scarlett pretended to be Maliki and Jambo's "new" best friend. But I knew they wouldn't forget me. But apparently, Maliki did. And I noticed something about those two, something weird but wonderful...Love. They were falling in love. But I wasn't taking any chances, but I knew I couldn't separate them either, because then they'd be wondering why. But I think Scarlett forgot about the plan. And she was playing with Maliki a lot more. But what was Jambo doing all this time? Nothing. Nothing at all. But that boy was always playing by himself, so I'm sure he found something to do in his time. One night, he went out on a walk. Scarlett did too. But sadly, Jambo never came back. But what happened to him? Well, Jambo went to the cliff to get some peace and quiet. So Scarlett tagged along. And then, they started talking. "Hey Jambo, have you ever heard of Zira?" Asked Scarlett. "Yes. My dad told me all about her. He said she was evil, unjust, unfair, and she was using Kovu to kill my mom and Simba." "Are you sure he was telling the truth?" "Of course!!! My dad would never lie to me!" "But did you think about his past, what his mother trained him for? Everything he ever told you was a lie!" Jambo was confused but knew Scarlett was lying. And it just kept getting better. "I won't listen to you Starly!" He was getting angry. "But now I must tell you that I'm not Starly..." Jambo was now raging with anger. "Well then who are you????" She leaned in to his ear "I am Scarlett" Jambo knew the truth! He was now angry but scared. He had heard how tough she was. "Oh and one more thing! Maliki hates you!" Jambo was scared and sad now. "No! No! It can't be true!" Scarlett started walking closer to Jambo and Jambo stepped back! He slipped and was dangling from the cliff. No one was there to save him- except Scarlett. He knew she was her only hope. "Scarlett! Please help me!"

Chapter 6: Scarlett.....she's evil....

Scarlett was surprised he had asked for her help. "Hmm, let me think Jambo...NO!" And with that, she pushed him off the cliff! "AHHH!!!!" Back at Pride Rock, Kiara and Lanie heard Jambo's cry. "What was that, mom?" Maliki woke up. "I-I don't know Maliki! It sounded like your brother. Scarlett came in. "Everyone! Hurry! Jambo fell off the cliff!!!!! Oh it's horrible!" "What???!!!??? Everyone! To the gorge!!!" So me, Maliki, Kovu, Kiara, and Scarlett raced to the gorge, where we saw Jambo's body on the ground. Kovu raced up to him! "Jambo?? What happened!" Jambo could barely open his eyes, I knew he wasn't going to live much longer. But he managed to say,"Scarlett.....she's evil...." He never said another word after that. Then, Kovu looked at Scarlett. "Starly, I know who you are." Kiara and Maliki were confused but I knew. Scarlett gulped. "Dad, what are you talking about?" Maliki said. Kovu didn't answer. All he said was "Scarlett!" Then Kiara knew, too. Maliki was still puzzled. "Dad, who is Scar-" Then he knew too. He slowly walked up to Scarlett, who had the face saying she regretted doing that. "....Why..?" "I...I'm sorry." Then Kovu roared at Scarlett. "Dad, please!" Yelled Maliki. Still, Kovu ignored Maliki. "Scarlett. GET OUT!!!!" With that, Scarlett ran, without looking back. But before she left, she told Maliki, "Farewell." And ran off without another word. Could you imagine your loved one getting banished, and the last word he/she said to you was 'Farewell'? So then, Maliki opened his mouth, but nothing came out. He just cried and ran away.
