Mufasa ran out of the cave of Pride Rock and yawned. Today he would be taking Taka out to meet Sarabi and Sarafina. "New day!" he yawned. The cub stretched and ran to find his brother. Taka was found getting a bath from Uru, he was as willing as ever, not even struggling like other cubs. "Taka!" Mufasa said to his cubby brother, wriggling hs rump in the air. "Ok Muffy your brother will be done in a minute" Uru said, puntuating her sentence with a lick to Taka.

Taka leapt from her paws and shook himself dry. "Ok i'm done are we going to meet Sarabi and Sarafina again today?" Taka said. "Yep!" Mufasa said happily, running off. "Alright!" Taka roared. Mufasa was close to his brother, although they sometimes fight, he loved him all the same. The two ran through the fields laughing and growling playfully.

The two stopped in the meadow, where they meet up with the other cubs. "Where are they?" Mufasa growled impatiently, scanning the flowers. Just then a female cub pounced on him. "Ahh!" Mufasa cried. "Ha Ha! Got ya Muffy!!" the cub giggled, she rolled off him and wriggled her rump in the air. It was Sarabi. Sarafina had done the same to Taka, "Pinned ya!!" she laughed. Taka got up and said "Hi Sarabi! Hi Saffy!". Mufasa knew his brother liked Sarabi but Saffy liked Taka. But Mufasa also liked Sarabi but he did'nt know if Sarabi liked him back.

 

"What shall we play today?" Saffy asked, flicking her tail. "We could chase the butterflies!" Sarabi suggested. "I agree" Taka piped in. "We played that yesterday..." Mufasa sighed. Just then Sarabi pricked up her ears and tapped Mufasa with her paw. "YOUR IT!!" she laughed and the other two ran off. "Why am I always it?" Mufasa growled. "CUZ YOUR FAT AND SLOW!!" Taka laughed, jumping over a log. Mufasa laughed and chased he other three cubs. He caught Sarafina first "Now your it!" he giggled.

The sun was starting to go down and the cubs stopped playing. The cubs looked at eachother and raced back to Pride Rock. "Last one there is a mouldy Taka!" Mufasa called. Taka was the last back and last to the meal. "Two kills today!" Mufasa yelled happily, pulling at a zebra's leg, "And Taka cant become a mouldy Taka since he is already one!". "Hey!" Taka growled. "Don't be mean!" Sarafina growled angrily, edging closer to Taka. Taka quickly got up and started to eat. Mufasa couldnt help laugh.

"I have an annoucment to make!" Ahadi said, swiping his tounge around his muzzle, "Tommorow i will announce our future King of the PrideLands!". The lioness's roared with joy, while Mufasa and Taka were having a fight. "I'll be king!" Taka growled butting his older sibling ."No you wont I will!" Mufasa roared, butting him back. "Alright boys stop its time for bed" Ahadi yawned. Mufasa climbed onto the royal spot and lied next to Uru. Ahadi lied next to them and Taka snuggled up to Mufasa. It started to rain and the two brothers fell into a deep slumber.  

 

Meanwhile, Ahadi lied awake. His brain was buzzing. "Mufasa is big, wise and strong, a good making of a king but he's too rash" The king thought, "But Taka is wise and fast, also a good choice, but he is too violent, he solves everything with fights". His head battled with itself and he finally decided, "Mufasa! Yes a good choice! Strong and a fast learner, im sure his rashness will ware away!" Ahadi smiled to himself and soon fell asleep.

The next morning Mufasa and Taka lined up in front of Ahadi and waited for the annoucement. Rafiki had called the whole kingdom and the lionesss were essembled. Ahadi came over and yelled for the whole kingdom to hear, "Today we will decide the new future king of the Pride Lands!", he took a deep breath and roared "Your next king will be... MUFASA!!". The kingdom had screamed their aprovels while the lioness's roared aong with Ahadi. Rafiki picked up Mufasa and wiped some goo on his head and sprinkled some sand on his head, just like his presentation. Rafiki put the cub down and Ahadi nudged Mufasa to the edge of Pride Rock.

Uru and Taka stayed with the pride and bowed with the others, Taka just snarled and stayed how he was. Ahadi winked at Mufasa and roared. Mufasa let out a small roar between cubbish and adult,  he felt alive. Soon the ceramony was over and after many congratulations Mufasa was able to play.

Mufasa went outside on the grass but was stopped by Taka. "Uh... Hey Taka!" Mufasa said, as friendly as he could. Taka simply growled and said "Hey there Kingy!" he said it so visously that Mufasa flinched. "Ha! Such a coward! Dad should have picked me!" Taka laughed evily, "If your not then lets have a fight!". Mufasa extracted his claws and smirked, "Fine! Gimme your best shot!".

(The cubs circle each other while snarling)

Mufasa:

"Well you think that you can take me on
You must be crazy
There ain't a single thing you've done
Is gonna phase me
Oh, but if you want to have a go
I just want to let you know!"

(Taka jumps at Mufasa's sides but is dodged)

 Mufasa:
"Yeah,(Chorus)Get off my back! and into my game!
Get out of my way and out of my brain!
Get outta my face or give it your best shot!
I think it's time you better face the fact!
Get off my back!!"

(Taka jumps on Muffy's back but is thrown off)

Mufasa:
"You know it's all just a game that I'm playing
You think that you can't find a way in
is what I'm saying
Oh if you want to have a go
I just want to let you know... Oh"

(Mufasa claws Taka's flank)

 (Chorus)"Get off my back! and into my game!
Get out of my way and out of my brain
Get outta my face or give it your best shot
I think it's time you better face the fact
Get off my back"

"Taka pounces on Mufasa but is flipped over, resulting him being pinned)

Mufasa:
"Oh, but if you want to have a go
I just want to let you know
Get Off
Get Off Yeah
Get off of my back and into my game
Get out of my way and out of my brain
Get outtta my face, or give it your best shot
You know this train is coming off this track
Get off of my back
Yeah get off of my back
Get off yeah

( Mufasa lets Taka go and watches his brother leave)

"Taka!" Mufasa cried hopelessly. Their fight had unfourtunatly been watched by Ahadi and Mufasa started to cower. "Mufasa I am very dissapointed in you!" Ahadi roared, his eyes full of anger. "Go find your brother! NOW!".
