Simba and Nala

Simba bounded out of Pride Rock. He was just a month old. Simba was already a hyper cub, who loved to play. He ran up the promotory of Pride Rock and looked around. He had never been of Pride Rock before. And just last night, his dad, Mufasa said he could go into the Pride Lands today!!! The young Prince hardly slepted that night. He yawned and ran back into the cave to wake up Nala. " Come on Nala!" Simba greated Nala with his small voice.

Nala lay alseep beside her mother, Sarafina. She turned over. " Nala!" Simba sighed impatiently. Sarafina opened one eye. " Good morning Simba," Sarafina greated. " Good morning. Could you get Nala up for me please?" Simba asked remembering his manners. Sarafina nodded. She nugged Nala with her  paw. " Huh?" Nala asked sleepily with her eyes still closed. " Nala dear, Simba wants to play with you."

" Right now?" Nala asked. " Please Nala? Today is my first day to go into the Pride Lands!!" Simba begged. Nala opened her eyes. " Really?" Nala asked, with her green eyes sparkling. " Yeah!" " Let's go!" Simba and Nala ran out of the cave. " Wait!" Sarafina called. " I'll catch up with them, Sarafina," a voice said behind her. Sarafina turnd around and saw Mufasa standing there with a smile on his face. " Thankyou Mufasa." Sarafina said greatfuly. " If I know Simba he's proboly at the water hole by now," Mufasa chuckled. Sarafina grinned while Mufasa trotted out of the cave.

Mufasa found Simba and Nala a few feet from the water hole talking excitedly to one another. " Simba! Nala!" Mufasa called. Simba turnd around and walked toward him. " Hi dad!" Simba said as Nala came up beside him. " You know you two arn't suposed to go into the Pride Lands alone." " Were're not?" Nala asked.

" No," Mufasa said shaking his head. " Awwww, man!" Simba complained. Mufasa chuckled. " I knew this might happen. So I asked Zazu to come to Pride Rock ealier than usaul. Here he comes now!" Mufasa announced while watching Zazu fly over." Here comes the dodo," Nala whispered to Simba. Simba held down a laugh. " Good morning Sire!" Zazu greated as he landed at the King's paws. " Good morningn Zazu." Mufasa said in his deep voice. " At your service, Sire!"

" You know the rules Zazu." Mufasa said. Zazu nodded. The day before Mufasa had instructed Zazu not to let the cubs go near any borders of the Pride Lands enspesaily the Elephant Graveyard, and the OutLands. " Come Simba and Nala," Zazu said while flying. " Have a good time kids," Mufasa said walking off. Zazu flew way above Simba and Nala were he couldn't hear what they were saying.

" This stinks," Nala commemted. " I know. When I become King. My first act will to fire that dodo." Nala laughed. " I'd pay to see that!" " So now what?" Simba asked. " We gotta find away to ditch the dodo," Nala whispered. "How?" Simba asked. " Watch this,  and follow my lead. Hey Zazu!" Nala shouted. " What?" Zazu shouted back while still fying above. " Look over there!" Nala pointed with her paw. "  What? Were?" Zazu asked looking in that dirrection. Simba and Nala made their escape very quietly.

" I don't see anything," Zazu said then he looked down to see that Simba and Nala had diaspered. Zazu gasped and flew to were the two cubs were. " Simba?! Nala?!" Zazu shouted. He flew up again and continued to call their names.

Meanwhile Simba and Nala were exploring the Pride Lands. " All right! It worked!" Nala said. " Yeah it did!" Simba said playfully. " Now its time for some real fun!!" Simba anounced. " Like what?" Nala asked. Simba shrugged. The two friends heared Zazu calling their names frantically. " Uh-oh," Nala whispered. " Let's get out of here," Simba whispered back. Nala nodded and the two cubs left. Finally they could no longer hear Zazu calling for them. They sighed in relif.

" Were are we?" Nala asked. " It looks like the Great River dad was telling me about," Simba continued. " Yeah it does." Nala commented. Suddenly they heard some one or something coming towards them in the savannah grass. "What's that?" Nala asked nervously. " I don't know. But I sure hope its friendly." Simba said. He sounded as nervous as Nala. Suddenly a Lepord cub walked out. Simba and Nala looked surprised that this is what they were afriad of.

" Hello," the Lepord said shyly. " Who are you?" Nala asked bravely. " I'm Tano," the Lepord replied. " Who are you two?" Tano asked. " I'm Nala and this is my best friend Simba." Nala introduced them. " Hi!" Simba greated. "Simba? The great King Mufasa's son? That Simba?" Tano asked. " Umm...I guess so. Why?" Simba asked confused. Tano laughed. " Can't believe I just meet the son of the greatest king ever!" Tano said excitedly.

" I don't get it," Nala said. " Yeah, what's this all about, Tano?" Simba asked. " In the Pride Lands and enspecialy out side of the Pride Lands. King Mufasa is considered the Greatest King EVER!" " Wow!" Simba and Nala exclaimed in unision. " In the distance Zazu could be heard still calling Simba and Nala's names. " Will that bird ever give up?" Nala asked annoyedly. " If he does, he'll go back to Pride Rock and tell dad that we've run off. Then will be in trouble." Simba pointed out.

" Oh, yeah," Nala agreed. " Come on Tano, follow us," Simba said leaving. " All right," Tano said following. Finall they reached a safe place were they could talk more. " Why are you here?" Simba asked Tano. Tano looked sad for a moment. " I'm lost," Tano ammited. " How'd you get lost?" Nala asked. " I live in a place called the Leap Lands. About a week ago a really bad storm hit my lands. Some how I got seperated from my family. Some how I ended up here, in the Pride Lands. Now I don't know how to got back."

" Dad said something about going to the Leap Lands once. He may know were it is," Simba said. " There you are!!" Zazu cried as he landed at Simba's paws. " Wait till Mufasa hears that you've run off!!" Zazu scollded. " Wait Zazu!" Simba said. Simba explained Tano's situation. " Please, don't tell dad that we ran off," Simba said. " All right. Tano's more important right now." Zazu agreed. Simba, Nala and Zazu took Tano to Pride Rock.

They found Mufasa and explained Tano's situation. " Zazu, why don't you fly to Tano's home and tell his parents that he'll be their in a day and a half. After you've rested of course," Mufasa added with a smile. " Of course." Zazu said flying of to find his lunch. " I bet your hungry Tano," Mufasa said. " Starving!" Tano replied. " The hunting party just arived." AS soon as Tano had eaten all he could, and thanked Mufasa for his meal. He layed down to rest.

A day later, Mufasa, Simba, Nala and Tano made their way to Tano's home land. Finally they made it. Tano's family rushed out to great him. Zazu landed on Mufasa's shoulder. " Tano! We were so worried!" Shesa, Tano's mother cried. Tano explained how he got lost and how he found Simba and Nala.  "Thankyou so much for taking care of him," Sala, Tano's father said greatfully.

"It was nothing!" Simba said. " Yeah! It was fun!" Nala commented. " All of you are welcomed back any time!" Sala insisted. " We'll come back soon," Mufasa promised. " See that you do," Shesa said. " By Simba. By Nala!" Tano said. " See you!" Simba called over his shoulder as the lions headed out. Tano watched the lions until they were out of sight. Simba and Nala headed back to Pride Rock.
