Kami pushed his way though the tall grass.
He spied an antelope ahead; he bent down low tucking his elbows underneath him whilst his chin pressed against the dirt.
‘What are you doing?’
The antelope sniffed the air and ran off.
‘A bit young to go hunting aren’t we?’
Kami looked up, ‘I was only practising Mr. Kovu’
Kovu laughed, shaking his fringe out of his face, ‘maybe you should head home and apologise to your mother for running off’
The cub bowed before running off back though the grass.

Kiara sat down slowly, trying not to press down on her pregnant body. She smiled at Sharma, her freind and self appointed councillor during her pregnancy. Simba walked into the sleeping eara,
‘How’s my grandchild doing?’ he asked nuzzling kiara gently.
‘She’s doing fine’ she replied.
‘”she” what makes you think it’s a she?’ simba asked.
‘What makes you think it isn’t’ kiara countered.
‘Where Kovu?’ simba asked, changing the subject.
‘He’s gone looking for some cub that’s got lost or something like that’

Kovu began to follow the cub back to pride rock.
The sun was slowly beginning to set.
A bird fell form the sky, with a loud crwack!
It landed feet from where Kovu was standing, he walked over to investigate.
He sniffed the body assuming it was dead; suddenly the body inhaled, and blew out three gasping breaths.
Kovu jumped back.
The bird spoke, ‘there coming the others!’
‘What!?’ Kovu asked confused.
‘The scarlet pride, they took my home now they come for you!’ the bird started to cough uncontrollably before collapsing over.
‘What was that?’ kami asked as he walked over.
‘Go back to pride rock, now!’ Kovu ordered the cub.
It didn’t need to be told twice and was soon running off though the savannah.
Kovu picked up the bird gently in his mouth, before following the dark, furred cub.
He ran in though into the sleeping chamber of pride rock.

‘Kovu! I she you found the child-‘simba started.
‘Where rafiki?’ Kovu asked spitting the dead bird out.
‘Why?’ simba asked, looking concerned.
