Nala was a young adult. She paced infront of the waterhole. What was wrong with her?! She could move on. Yeah, move on. Her mind seemed to fade...
"Nala! Come on!" Simba lept on her tail. Nala bit his tail gently.
"never... make... first... move," she hissed.
They played for hours then, "NALA! Bed!"
Nala was back by the water hole. Why did these memories keep coming to her mind? Why could she think of nothing other than Simba? He was EVERYWHERE!
"Nala, hey there," cooed a lion her age.
"Go away, Fissu," Nala growled. "I'm not in the mood." She slipped into her mom's cave and lay her head down. Where was Simba? Could he return?
she closed her eyes gently. A memory of Simba splashing her and her splashing him back then the two of them falling intot he deep part and Simba saving them popped up.
Did Simba see her from where he was? Did he know of her needs? Nala sighed. Simba was everywhere to her.
Every waking moment she thought of his golden pelt that was always getting dirty. Not any more though.
Where was he? Nala didn't really feel like he was always with her like adults said she should. A thought struck Nala. Maybe he wasn't dead!
No, it was impossible. She remembered the day clearly. They had been playing....
"Nala, guess what!" Simba cried.
"Hmm?" Nala's tail twitched with amusment, as Simba bounced around the cave.
"Uncle Scar is setting up time for my dad and I!" Simba roared.
"Sweet," Nala nodded. "but you trust Scar?"
"Yeah!" Simba replied. "He's my uncle, Nala."
"I know." Nala bowed her head. "But there's something about him that-"
"Simba come," Scar's vocie growled.
Giving Nala a strange look, he walked to Scar. "Bye, Nala."
"See ya Simba," sighed Nala.
Nala never saw her friend again. She was positive that it was all Scar's doing. All Nala wanted was to see Simba again.
She had that horrible memory hanging on her concience. She could have stopped him! Nala's blue eyes filled with tears. Simba. She looked down at her paws, as she stood up.
"Simba," she murmured. "I hate the day you slipped away! Nothing is the same! No trouble making or anything! I miss you. Come back."
"Nala?" Her mother approached, slowly. "Are you thinking about Simba?"
"All the time." Nala shook her head. "It's the day that my life changed, Ma. It's the day that I'll always remember. Before he left, we had argued. I miss him! I need him! You don't get it!"
Nala raced out of the den. Her heart was racing. Simba! Where are you? My life is crashing down around me! You disappeared before we had any more time to be together! Scar took it away! Couldn't you have listened?! I miss you! There's not a moment that you aren't in my mind! I dream about you! Where are you?! Come back to me!
Her world was upsidedown. Her friend was gone. Nala ran into a forest. She'd get food. that was all she could do to try to keep her mind away from Simba.
Nala hunted for a long time. she saw a red warthog and went after it. Lucky for her, the creature was fat. Nala's heart was pounding. It was stuck!
Nala leaped but was countered by a fully grown lion. He had made the first move. Nala remembered her training with Simba and began to counter attack.
Soon, he was under her paws then, "Nala?" She scrambled off. Did she know him?
"It's me," he said, standing up, grinning. She knew that grin... "Simba."
"Simba?" Nala echoed. "Simba!"
"Nala!" They began to race around each other. Nala couldn't believe it! Simba was back! Nala's heart began to pound.
He hadn't slipped away but she still had one problem, Nala couldn't stop thinking about him....
To be continued! Tell me how you liked it!
!" Simba roared.
"Sweet," Nala nodded. "but you trust Scar?"
"Yeah!" Simba replied. "He's my uncle, Nala."
"I know." Nala bowed her head. "But there's something about him that-"
