The ceremony was just about to begin. Everyone was excited. "A new heir to the throne!" said Zazu as he flew from the cave to sit beside Simba. "Or should I say heirs!!" he said with a little giggle. "Zazu what are you talking about? There can only be one heir to the throne." Simba said shaking his head. "I don't agree Simba go see for your self. You're in for a big suprise." he said and flew off. Simba was quite confused. He knew there could only be one person that could take over the pridelands his son or daughter. But  he has been has been wrong before so he decided to go check. He walked into cave and seen Nala with to little cubs in her arms. "Wow Zazu was right!!" he said. "Have you named then Nala?" he asked her. "Yes the boy is Kopa and the girl is Kiara." she said. "Well Kiara and Kopa welcome to the Pridelands." Simba said. Meanwhile in the Outlands there was another ceremony going on. Zira the leader was holding a cremony fro her her twins Kovu and Vitani. You see before Zira and the outsiders were banished from the Pridelands she and the outsiders were proud followers of Mufasa. But then after Mufasa was killed and Scar took over he started to make more sense to them than Mufasa. However when Simba returned and Scar was killed Zira wanted revenge. So she plotted against Simba. She was discovered and put on trial but was given another chance. However she again was discovered but this time she was discovered pregnant with Scar's children. So she and others were banished. Now they plot for revenge. But back over to the Pridelands. Kiara and Kopa were growing fast they were already walking and talking. Like their father they (of course) caused trouble. One day they wanted to go out. As they ran Simba stopped them. "Where are you two going?" he asked. "Just out." said Kopa. "We'll be back before dinner." Kiara said. "And where is out?" Simba asked. "Uh..." Kopa stammered. "To the water hole!!" Kiara said quickly. "Fine go ahead just stay away from the Outlands. Do you understand?" he asked. "Yes Dad." they said together. Then Simba watched his two little cubs run off. Simba knew they were bound to run off so he sent his best pals Timon and Pumbaa after them. "Make sure they don't get hurt. Keep a sharp eye on Kopa if he's anything like I was he's bound to run off. He may even take Kiara with him." he said. "You got it man!" Timon said. Timon and Pumbaa ran off. "Hey Timon do you think it's wrong spying on the cubs like this? I mean if they found out they'll be pretty mad." Pumbaa asked. "Relax buddy they won't catch us unless they sneak up on us which they won't do because they'll never find us because we're spy on them through this bush were in." he explained. Then a voice came from behind them. "Oh really?" It was Kiara. "AAAAHHHH" Timon and Pumbaa yelled. "Kiara we were just uh..." Timon stammered. "Spying!!" Kopa said from behind them. "AAAAHHHH" they yelled again. "Our father sent you didn't he?" asked Kiara. "He just doesn't want you guys to get hurt." said Timon. "He's never gonna trust us Kiara he thinks were babies." Kiara said. "I think I have an idea." said Kopa. "Follow my lead." he said. "Hey guys are theres been a rumor going on about how there is a huge termite mound right the watering hole. We were going to go but we're kind of tired so we're going to head back home. We'll see you later." he said. Kopa was a great liar. He got himself and Kiara out of many sticky situations. You see Kopa knew Timon and Pumbaa would fall for the termite trick. His plan was after they left he and Kiara would make a run for it. And sure enough they fell for it. As soon as they were out of eyesight Kiara and Kopa ran. They ran as fast they could. Finally they stopped. "Can you believe that those two knuckle heads fell for the old termite trick? What dummies." Kopa said. "Yeah what dummies. So now that were finally free to do what we want what do you want to do?" Kiara asked. "I wanna go..." he stopped. "Kopa what's wrong?" asked Kiara. Then she looked up and saw the Outlands on the horizon. "Wow!!" they both said. "Hey Ki-Ki come on." said Kopa. "I don't know Kopa father said to stay away from there." she said. "And since when do you do when you're told?" he said. "I don't... I just don't see why we have to do this that's all." she stammered. "You're just scared!! Ha ha!!" he yelled. "No i'm not! I'll prove it I'll beat you down the hill right now!" with that she ran down the hill toward the Outlands. Never turning down a challenge Kopa ran after her. Dust and dirt was flying everywhere. Neither could see where they were going and they didn't care. they were having too much fun. "We're reaching the end of the hill!! Brace your self!!!" Kiara yelled to her brother. And right at the end of the hill she hit something. "Ouch!!" a voice said. she couldn't make out who it was through all the dirt and dust.When it all finally cleared she saw a little cub. "AAAAHHHH" she yelled. Kopa who also met a little cub came running. "Kiara what's wrong?!" he asked. "Outsider!!!" she screamed. "Relax we're not going to her you" one of them said. "My name is Kovu and this my sister Vitani." he said. "Well I'm Kopa and that is my sister Kiara. "Do you guys wanna play?" Vitani asked. "My father said never to play with Outsiders!!" Kiara said. "Well he doesn't have to know now does he?" said Kopa. "I-I guess." she stuttered. And with that they began their game. But as they were playing they were being watched. Watched by Zira Kovu and Vitani's mother. And also by Simba. Timon and Pumbaa had finally caught on to that liitle trick Kopa pulled and alerted Simba. As the cubs were playing Zira was waitin for the right time to strike. She found her chance and leaped. Simba saw here and jumped to protect his cubs. The children saw then and ran. Simba and Ziar stood face-to-face. "What are you doing here Simba?!" she snarled. "I'm here for my kids" he answered. "You're trespassing!! Now get out!!" she yelled. Now any other time Simba would have torn Zira to shreads but not in front of the cubs so he walked away. "What were you two doing I told you not to go near the Outlands and you did anyway. How can you expect me to trust you when you can't follow directions. You could've been hurt." Simba said back at Pride Rock. "But Daddy they were nice!" Kiara said. "I don't care what they were. I don't want you talking to them ever again!! And you are not to leave Pride Rock without parental supervision do you understand me!" he said. "Yes father." the cubs said. "Good now go into the cave you're grounded" he said. Meanwhile in the Outlands Zira was congratulating her cubs not yelling at them. "Well done cubs. Now that you're their friends we're that much closer to taking over the Pridelands." she said. "Yes mother." they said.
