our lionesses."
"Our?"
"Yes, I have made you my deputy Spotty," Zira said.. "You have been very helpful in these past couple days, and I have a feeling you would make a good deputy."
Spotty smiled at this.
"Of course," she said, a little uncertain of what to do now. "What would you have me do now?"
"Let me do the rest. Just count how many Outlanders we have, and how many are growing weaker. I need to recruit a little more..."
"Um, who are we going to recruit?"
"The Shadow Pride." Zira looked toward toward the Pride. "Since Scar already gained control of them, I am confident I can also."
Spotty dipped her head.
"I will get things prepared," Spotty said hastily. "Do you want anything else done?"
Zira shook her head.
"Not right now."
Ni
As Ni wandered toward the Outland border, he got stopped by Nala on his way.
"What are you doing?" she questioned rudely.
"None of your business," Ni snorted scornfully. "I can take care of myself, if that's what your thinking."
Nala bristled. She didn't like Ni one bit, ever since that horrible day.
"Okay," Nala said as she brushed past him. "But remember I'm watching you."
Ni flashed her a smile, and when she was gone, he went over to the Outland border.
"Zira!" he called. "I'm here. I can tell you everything you need to know..."
Deleted scenes: Again, weren't too many. I couldn't decide on whether to call this book A Stranger, The Rouge, or A Rouge, and I finally settled on The Rouge.
Ni was not going to show up in here: originally, you were going to be hearing of more Timon and Pumbaa, but I cut them out because I thought they didn't work too well in this chapter.
Also, Ni was not going to be a spy for Zira, he was simply going to be evil. But I thought this would work out better. I was also going to introduce Chumvi and Kula in this chapter, but I think I'll wait before I do that.
