complained Banzai, to just about anyone who would listen.

Shenzi, the female of the three, rolled her eyes and then replied angrily, "Shut up, it's not our fault!"

Banzai growled and raised his voice to emphasize his anger, "Yeah, well Scar will find some way to make this our fault!". Banzai had a way of saying whatever was on his mind, and most the time it got the group of hyenas in trouble.

For an unknown reason, Ed started laughing hysterically. Almost like Banzai had something humorous, and this ticked off Banzai to no end. "SHUT UP!" He barked to his friend.

Shenzi growled and punched Banzai on his front arm with her front paw, "Are you trying to get us in trouble?! Just shut up and follow me, we gotta report this to Zira..".

Banzai groaned dramatically, "Oye, not Zira.."

Shenzi whispered to her friend, "Come on, she isn't that bad.." She then started laughing at her own joke.

Banzai joined in with the laughter, and of course, Ed laughed hysterically.

After a few moments of laughing at their own jokes, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed all made their way up to the peak of Pride Rock. That's where Zira laid every morning.

Zira was sunbathing at the edge of Pride Rock. She was laying on her belly, her front paws crossed in front of her, and her head laid comfortably on her paws. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was gentle from the peaceful slumber.

Banzai gulped out loud and then whispered to Shenzi, "Are you sure we should wake her up? She'll probably be mad..".

Shenzi shushed Banzai loudly and then turned to their queen and cleared her throat. She then tapped Zira's shoulder with her front paw as she called out with a loud whisper, "Your majesty?"

A few seconds later, Zira's red eyes opened slowly. She blinked a couple times, trying to get the drowsiness out of her eyes. She raised her head and then turned to the hyenas and asked with an angry hiss, "What do you guys want?"

Shenzi cleared her throat and her eyes wondered, she was looking for a gentle way to put it, but she couldn't find the words.

Banzai was growing antsy and inpatient, so before Shenzi had the chance to say anything, Banzai blurted out rapidly, "Nala is gone!"

Zira's ears twitched and she asked bluntly, "What?"

Shenzi swallowed her fear and then said confidentally, "Nala is gone..".

Zira looked to the hyenas with a simple look on her face. Her eyes were half closed, for she was still very drowsy and was not in the mood to be awoken. But the way the hyenas were acting, hinted to Zira that the disappearance of Nala was bad. So she looked to Shenzi and asked calmly, "And Nala is..?"

Banzai rolled his eyes and mumbled a few choice words under his breath. He then looked up to his queen and explained, "Nala is the daughter of Sarafina.. and the head huntress of the hunting party."

As soon as Zira heard the words 'head huntress', her eyes filled with flames of anger, and her nostrils flared. She snarled out angrily and then got up onto all four, her claws instantly unsheathing.

The hyenas all clumped together in fear for their lives, but Zira simply brushed past them.

Zira was stomping down angrily to the den of Pride Rock. It's where the lionesses slept, and Zira was determined to get some answers. And shortly behind Zira, was the three hyenas.

 

"WHERE IS SHE?!" Zira roared angrily, the roar echoing through the cave, awakening any lioness that may have been sleeping.

 All the lionesses looked to Zira with confusion stricken onto their faces. Zira snarled to the lionesses, making sure to hint to them that she ment business.

 She walked right over to where Sarabi and Sarafina was laying and she snarled her fangs even wider.

 Sarabi looked to Zira with no expression on her face, she wasn't afraid of Zira and she wanted Zira to know that.

 Zira hated Sarabi enough as it, so she wanted nothing to do with Sarabi, instead, she wanted to deal with it right at the source.

 "Where's your daughter, Sarafina?!"

 Sarafina looked to her side - it's where Nala usually slept - and Nala was gone. Sarafina knew that that meant that Nala had taken her scheduled leave. She wouldn't rat her own daughter out, so she did what she was scripted to do.

 She looked up to Zira and said calmly, "She must have just stepped out to hunt..".

Shenzi and Banzai, whom had been watching in the corner, decided to butt in, "No! We reported no lionesses leave the den yet!".

 Sarafina looked to the hyenas with hate filling her eyes, for a brief second, her green eyes almost seemed red.

 Zira stood above Sarafina impatiently and Sarafina just repeated her statement, "Nala must have gotten an early start to the morning hunt."

 Zira was not buying Sarafina's lies, and she was determined to get to the bottom of the disappearance. Zira snorted out air angrily through her nostrils, and she ran to the mouth of the cave.

 "Ryker!!" She called out with an angry roar.

 A few moments later, a strong, sturdy looking male entered the den. The male was well built, and had a very strong jawline. His chest was wide, and his mane was full. He was the perfect shade of light mocha, and his black mane looked amazing against his fur. His underbelly was light tan, and on the bridge of his nose, he had a birthmark -- a brown bridge leading up his nose up onto his forehead. And his eyes were bright red, almost identical to Zira's. This was Ryker. And he was the bronze of the pride, and the heir to the throne.

 Zira smiled when she saw Ryker enter the room, and she turned back to Sarafina with an evil smirk curling her lip.

 Sarafina's heart began beating fast, but she had to try her best to hide it. She didn't want to rat out her daughter - especially not if Ryker was assigned to deal with it.

 Zira shrugged her shoulders and said with a soft hum, "So be it..". She then turned back to her adopted son Ryker and said, "Ryker.. One of the lionesses seemed to be on a 'morning hunt'. Get Nala and bring her back to me!" She lowered her tone and said with a wink, "Dead or alive..".

 Ryker chuckled a deep chuckle originating deep within his throat and he smirked to his mother, he loved when she was sinister. He looked over to Sarafina, and smirked to her. After getting a good look of Sarafina, Ryker turned and darted out the mouth of the cave, heading out to take care of his assignment.

 Zira watched Ryker run in the distance for a few seconds, then she turned back to Sarafina and said out loud, loud enough for the rest of the lionesses to hear and take as a warning, "He will find her, Sarafina. And if she's not hunting like you said, the consequences will be fatal, you hear me?!" Her red eyes turned dark, and she smirked her sinister smirk.

 Sarafina hung her head, looking only to the cave floor. All eyes were on Sarafina that very moment, and they were beginning to burn into Sarafina's fur.

 Zira began chuckling like mad and she walked towards the exit. She flicked her tail merrily as she walked, she hadn't been that happy with her self in a while, she was actually getting a kick out of what was going on.

 Watching the queen laugh, the hyenas couldn't help but join in. Nothing amused them more than seeing the lions suffer, and man, did Zira know how to make them suffer.

 As Zira left the cave, Banzai, Shenzi and Ed were shortly behind her, crackling like the mad hyenas they were.
