On a nice sunny morning all the animals of the Pridelands assembled once again for the birth of the future heir to the thrown, Kovu and Kiara's new princess, Shani. Timon and Pumbaa were yet again disappointed the cub was female, Rafiki's arms became tired of holding the cub and  Zazu was standing next to the proud parents Kiara and Kovu as they smiled at their princess... Princess Shani.

Months later Shani grew into an adventurous young lioness like her mother, while Shani was still sleeping, snoring and dreaming Kovu padded in and nuzzled her saying softly, "wake up my little princess... Mommy needs to take you out on your hunting lesson early today," Shani new her father was there and her a fluttered open, "Daddy, do I need to go?" Kovu chuckled softly at his, still tired, daughter, "Yes dear, your mother is very excited about taking you out hunting for the first time," Kovu picked Shani up in his mouth and took her to the top of Pride Rock where Queen Kiara was standing, Kiara smiled at Shani, she smiled back at  her mother, standing infront of the golden horizen, "Good morning mommys little princess, how was your sleep?" Kovu put shani on the ground as she padded and nuzzled her mothers soft legs, "I sleeped well mommy, how about you?" Kiara smiled at her daughter looking up at her, "My sleep was good dear, now lets go, we have alot of training to do..." Kiara nuzzled Kovu and Shani nuzzled her fathers legs as they set off for hunting. They arrived at the center of the Pridelands and started hunting, "Now dear, the first key step to hunting is always stay quite whatever you do, I learn't that from my mother," Shani got bored after 2 minutes and wondered off into the horizon, she entered another prides territory she tripped over a log and ended up at the paws of a hansome young lion, "Oh, s-s-sorry, I'm in your territory.... I must leave..." Shani shivered but the male justed giggled, "Haha! You're funny, you don't need to leave," Shani looked confused, "Why? Do you welcome Pridelanders here?" The male laughed, and smiled at Shani, "Yes, we do... Well, not my mother but the rest of the pride do, like my father and step mother," Shani, got worried, she ran away from her own mother and now she'll get into trouble. The male looked at her, "Whats your named? I'm Maalik, but my nickname is Shelley, because I used to have a turtle called Shelley," Shani smiled, she could feel the beginning of a good relationship... Then there was a frightening roar... It was Kiara! Shani bent down in fright as she new her mother would be standing angrily behind her, young Shelley was also terrified, more terrified then he has ever been in his life! Suddenly there was another frightful roar... IT WAS SHELLEYS MOTHER, RITANA! The lionesses faced off, "Ritana... Keep your son away from my lands... AND my daughter..." Ritana snarled at Kiara, "well my dear Queen Kiara, why don't YOU keep YOUR daughter AWAY from MY son..." Kiara stared at Ritana with a mean grin, then Judas, Shelleys kind and loya father stepped in, along with Shelleys loving step-mother Annita, "I'm so sorry Kiara, if you don't want my son near your daughter thats fine, I understand you want to keep her safe," Judas said as he smiled at Kiara, Kiara then looked shocked as he saw his old friend Judas, "Oh... this is YOUR son, I-I didn't know! Please forgive me," Judas chuckled, "Of course Kiara, I will, but the only times we can meet is when we're coming with the cubs, agreed?" Judas asked Kiara, "Agreed!" Kiara replied, Ritana was in shock she picked up her son and walked back home, Kiara did the same with Shani.

Back in the Wastelands, home to Shelley and his pride Judas and Ritana had an arguement, "What do you THINK your doing Judas? I don't want my son with a snobby princess!!!" Judas snarled at his ex-mate, "Ritana! How dare you? Kiara is a close family friend, she and her family are no harm to us Wastelanders!" Ritana stopped for a moment and walked back towards Judas, "No harm? NO HARM?!?! Of course they are harmful to us! There kings past has always been dreadful, he has an evil side to his family!" Judas growled... "Well... So do you! Infact, you ARE evil!!!" Ritana looked at Judas for a moment and hit him on the face, "You say that again Judas and I'll-" Ritana was interupted... By Annita, "You'll do what?" Ritana's face screwed up, she turned slowly, "I'll... KILL HIM!!!" Ritana attacked Annita leaving her on the ground covered in scratches, blood and scars, "Hahahaha! Thats what you get for messing with me Annita!" Judas stood up shaking, "How DARE you Ritana, you should leave Annita alone," Ritana replied back, "Oh, I guess she's no harm to the pride either... PAH! Thats what you get for messing with me Judas, your sweet Annita could be DEAD!" Ritana walked towards Shelley and picked him up in her mouth, carrying him of to her den...

A tear rolled down Judas's face, "ANNITA!!!" Judas ran up to his wife and nuzzled her, he lay down next to her nuzzling her softly, "I'm sorry my dear, I'll get help," He picked Annita up on his back and padded to his majordomo Taka, to find help...

When he arrived his Taka flew straight to Judas to see what was going on, "Judas! Whats wrong with Annita?" Judas sighed while panting from running to far... "Ritana attacked Annita while I was lay down almost unconcious, I wish I'd saved her sooner," Taka frowned, "Hmm... I'll see what I can do, but it's not likely she'll make it through night," Judas sighed as he walked inside his den to find his and Annita's cub Narnia, fast asleep...
