The fiery orange sun slowly rose high into the pale pink sky, unfolding the Pridelands from it's darkness. Springbok leapt up and down, zebra's raised their stripy heads from grazing the lush grass, and the birds flocked North. Something specail was happening. All the animals stirred from their usual antics, and all followed a blue bird soaring high in the sky North. In the distance, a faint figure was forming - Pride Rock.                                                         The sun climbed higher into the sky, revealing more of the beautiful lands. On top of Pride Rock stood a majestic looking male lion, his black mane flapping heroically in the gentle wind. The blue bird flying in the sky landed by his paws and bowed, smiling broadly. The male lion grinned and lead the bird off  the top of the rock back into the cave, where the Queen was waiting.                                                                                                                                                           The queen was the most beautiful lionesses in the pride. Her chocolate brown fur glistened in the sun, her emerald eyes sone like stars on a dark night, and she always had a plesant smile pasted on her face. Nestled in her paws lay two balls of fur- one orange and one golden likee the sun. The delighted King and Queen nuzzled and peered down at the cubs, who were beginning to wake. They both opened their eyes, blinking rapidly. One had green, and one had orangey-red.                                                                                                                                                                           'My my my! Aren't they  handsome little chaps? You must be thrilled Ahadi!' The bird chirped. Ahadi smiled and nodded. 'Mufasa and Taka,' He remarked. The Queen licked both cubs, and the golden one bit her nose gently.                                 Suddenly, a black baboon padded into the cave holding a big stick. The Queen smiled fondly at his entrance, and she allowed him to hug her. 'I'm so glad you came Marahoo. How is your child, Rafiki?' The Queen asked.                   Marahoo smiled. 'Rafiki is well, thank you Queen Uru. Now may I see the cubs?' He asked. Uru nodded.                       'They are bright little ones! Look at the gold one!' Gasped Marahoo as he wafted his stick around the cubs head. The gold one, Mufasa, batted it with a paw and smiled. 'That is rare.' Marahoo scratched his head and he cracked open some fruit. Dipping his hands in the fruit juice, he rubbed it on the cub's heads, and sprinkled some sand on them.                                                                                                                                                                                             'It is time,' Marahoo picked up the cubs and let Uru stand up next to Ahadi. They went outside to see thousands of  animals waiting patiently to see the Princes. Marahoo stepped forward, and held them up, revealing them to all.   Instantly, the animals were delighted; Elephants tumpeted, the monkeys went crazy, the birds flew past the King and Queen, singing their praise. Ahadi and Uru smiled and watched as their son's were worshiped by the animals.

'Taka. Pstt! Taka, get up!' Mufasa nudged his brother. 'What?' Groaned Taka, shifting a little.                                                            'I got a great idea- why don't we visit Marahoo?' Mufasa grinned cheekily. Taka bloted up right and grinned back. 'C'mon!' They crept out of the cave and away from Pride Rock, giggling at their sneakiness. they trotted down merrily to Marahoo's tree, and heard him humming a morning song to himslef. His son, Rafiki, was chewing his foot. 'Hey, Marahoo!' The brothers cried. Marahoo slid down the tree trunk onto the ground. 'What can I do for ya, princes?'                                                                                                                                                                                                 'Can you think of any great places we can play?' Taka beamed. Marahoo sat down and pondered. 'Err, what about the water hole?' He asked. Taka rolled his eyes. 'Been there,' explained Mufasa. Marahoo sighed. Suddenly, a sudden thought hit him. 'How about the Common Grounds?' Marahoo cackled.                                                                              'Common Grounds?' Mufasa repeated slowly.                                                                                                                             'Yeah, the Common Grounds! You get to make lots of new friends because the pride hang out thier, bathing their cubs.' Taka and Mufasa looked at each other excitedly. 'We'll go there! Thanks Marahoo!'

'Is this it?' Thought Mufasa. There was a small pool of water, a rock, and a tree. IN the tree sahde sat three lionesses, with no cubs. On the rock sat a male lion with a scruffy mane and grumpy expresion. Then, splashing in the water- where two lioness cubs, laughing away. ONe of them had dark fur and ear strips, with bright red eyes. The other was pale with green eyes. Taka and Mufasa where stunned. They had never seen these cubs before. They trotted over, clearing their throats. 'Err hello...' Taka whispered. The girls sniggered.                               'Hey, I'm Mufasa and this my brother Taka.' Mufasa grinned kindly. One of the cubs grinned.                                             'Mufasa. That sounds like Muffy. Ha ha, your Muffy!' Mufasa laughed uneasily.                                                                                     'Sarafina, shut up!' Hissed the other.  'That joker is Sarafina. I'm Sarabi. We're best friends!' Exclaimed the other.   'We wondering wether you'd.... like to play?' Mufasa asked awkwardly.                                                                               'Yes, sure. But boys, if you fight us, we can take ya easy!' Sarabi  smiled. 'Oh yeah?@ Taka asked, suddenly feeling confident. he lepat at Sarafina, put she pinned him with ease.

'Pinned ya!'
