It was a nice warm sunny day inside the pridelands. The birds were chirping happily while the herds moved east along the borders. While at Pride Rock, everyone was waiting outside the den for princess Shani. Today was the day when she goes hunting alone without any assistance. Rafiki made a smile,seeing Shani about to step outside the den. "Here she is" he said with a smile. Shani walked out of the den with a smile as all eyes were focused on her. Everyone began commenting on how beautiful she had grown like they did with Kiara when she was getting ready for her first hunt years ago. Nala was the first to comment and said," My,how do grow Shani? Your very beautiful!" and smiled. Shani smiled and said," Thank you grandmother" as she made her way up to her parents. Kiara gave her a hug and whispered,"You'll do just fine,trust me on this". Shani nodded then looked up at her father Kovu,who seemed very excited about her going on her first hunt and said,"Go knock them dead Shani.I know you'll be able to catch one today,we've did alot of training over the pass months".

"Thanks father" she said as he gave her a soft nuzzle. Timon and Pumbaa started crying like they always do while Nala rolled her eyes with a chuckle. Shani stood over the edge of Pride Rock,seeing a small herd of zebra's grazing in the grasslands. She looked back at her father,waiting for her signal to go. Kovu nodded with a smile while Kiara gave him a rub and smiled as well,watching their daughter run off into the heart of the Savannah. Kovu knew she could hunt and hoped she'll come back with some kind of prey to surprise him with. Kiara went inside the den with the others while Kovu decided to lay down outside,waiting for Shani to come back patiently. While with Shani, she had finally made it inside the grasslands. Close by her was a male zebra. Shani figured she could take down a male on her own and got down,moving into the scene slowly while the zebra continued grazing on a small pitch of grass not noticing she was around.

Once she got close up to the zebra, the zebra had finally sensed her coming and took off running with the other herd of zebra's. Shani growled and ran behind it with all her speed and power. Once she got up to the zebra's side, she pounced ontop of it while the male began kicking his back legs,forcing her to fall off. All Shani could do was to hold on and try not to get seriously kicked or wounded by accident. Suddenly, a strange male lion had came up and saw Shani struggling to take down the zebra. He decided to help and tackled down the zebra with all his strength. Shani stood back and watched with confusion, wondering who the male was and why did he decide to help her. After the male did the kill,he dropped the zebra infront of her paws and walked off with silence. Shani was very impressed by his hunting skills and figured he was very strong. She yelled, "Thank you sir!" then picked up the zebra,carrying it home and pretending that she caught it all by herself,not mentioning that some strange guy had helped her.

Kovu smiled,"Wow Shani im very impressed, you've caught a full male zebra all on your own!". Shani nodded and sat the zebra on the ground. Kiara smiled at Kovu then at Shani," Our daughter is growing really strong now" she said. Kovu nodded and yelled," Dinner is served everybody!" as all the pride members gathered around and started feasting on the zebra Shani had caught. The next day, it was late dawn. Shani opened her eyes with a yawn and looked around,seeing no one inside the den. She figured everyone was behind Pride Rock and went out the den to see. The minute she had stepped outside the den,something was going on. She saw her father talking to some lion and couldn't see since all the pride members had circled around him. Shani walked up to her mother and Nala,seeing the lion that Kovu was snapping out on. It turned out that the lion was the male that had helped her catch the zebra yesterday. Shani was surprised and wondered why he had came up to Pride Rock as she listened closely to the conversation.

"Who are you stranger and why are wondering around in my lands?" said Kovu,frowning at the male. " My name is Chioma. I came to ask if I can join your pride" said the male,bowing down onto the ground. Everyone gasped including Shani once they have recognized the name Chioma. Kovu made a quiet growl and yelled, "No you may not! You were banished a long time ago by Simba and his law will stay the same". "Father!" said Shani,"Let him stay!". Kovu looked at Shani and said,"Why? He's trouble Shani,he threaten Simba a long time ago and doesn't deserve to come back". Chioma looked at Kovu and said," I've changed now Kovu,I am a rouge now. I have left my home to come back,since I've finally learned my lesson. Please take me back in,I'll do anything". Kovu looked at Shani then Kiara,who nodded her head,agreeing with Chioma. Kovu looked back at Chioma with a frown then walked inside the den. " Simba's law will remain until we see who you really are..." he said. Kiara,Nala and the other lions including the outsiders followed behind Kovu except Shani who watched Chioma lay down underneath a tree.

She smiled and walked up to him slowly,wanting to thank him again for helping her take down the zebra yesterday. Chioma looked up into her red eyes. "Hey..." she said. "Hey!" he said with a friendly smile. "Thanks for helping me take down that zebra yesterday, my father actually thought  I killed it on my own" she said sitting infront of him. " Well,your welcome. What kind of huntress are you? If it wasn't for me that zebra would of broken your neck with one kick of his legs" said Chioma frowning up at the sky. Shani made a smirk," So what are you saying? I cant hunt? That's crazy talk, my father knows that I can hunt". Chioma made a small chuckle," Yeah,but I bet he doesn't know that Im the one that caught you that zebra not you". "Oh, so I suppose you can teach me some of your skills then?" she said grinning. " Sure! I'll look forward to it" he said smiling at her. "Great! We can start in the evening then, during sunset" she said and got up,heading inside the den.

While Shani was inside the den, there was a noise behind two bushes. Chioma got up with full alert and growled. "Come out who ever you are!" he said growling. Out from the bushes was Nakora,his adoptive mother. She rolled her eyes,"Relax you idiot,it's me" she said. "Oh..." he said. "Did you kill Kovu and that daughter of his yet?" she said concerned. Chioma looked at the ground then into her eyes and said," No.But I'll do it tomorrow,I promise". "You better! Im doing this for you Chioma,for your revenge not mines" she said and walked off,heading back to her home. Chioma made a small frown then sighed at the ground,deciding if he should kill his best friend Shani or not. As the time went on, it was now sunset. Shani walked outside of the den with her father,who was still trying to decide if he should let Shani hang out with Chioma.

 "Now Shani, I want you to be safe. If he does anything wrong to you let me know,I'll teach that punk what's right or wrong" he said,frowning at Chioma. Shani rolled her eyes as she walked up to Chioma's side and said," Oh father...". Kiara walked up to Kovu's side,smiling at her daughter and Chioma,"Have fun you two!" she said. "We will!" said Shani and followed Chioma into the hunting grounds. Kiara went back inside the den while Kovu remain sitting at the edge of Pride Rock. He knew Chioma was planning something evil to trick Shani and couldn't help but to watch them,making sure Shani wasn't in any type of danger. Once Shani and Chioma made it inside the hunting grounds,Chioma sniffed the air. He could sense a herd of antelopes a mile away and started following the scent around while Shani followed behind.

"What are you looking for?" she asked. "I sensed an antelope. It's pretty close,let's go find it and it's herd" he said as continued searching around the plains. Shani looked around as well and came across a few antelope prints in the mud. She smiled and yelled,"Chioma,come here!!". Chioma ran up and noticed the prints as well."Great job Shani,you've found our second clue! Now let's follow the tracks,they must be really close" he said. Shani nodded and followed him on his side. Chioma looked around and finally found the antelopes grazing in the grasslands. He crouched down and so did Shani underneath the tall grass so they wouldn't be seen. "Okay Shani,watch every step I do while I hunt. Then when I get done,I want you to go and do what I just did okay?" he whispered. Shani nodded with a smile and said,"Okay". Chioma started moving into the scene with the antelopes. When he got close up to one,he pounced ontop of it's back while the other antelopes ran off. He brought the antelope down onto the ground with all his strong power and went for the kill,impressing Shani as stuck out his chest and smiled at her.

Shani rolled her eyes as she walked pass and said,"This will be too easy" and went over to the antelopes by a tree. Chioma smirked and sat down,watching every correct move she had made. Once she got close up to the antelope
