It was early dawn.The sun began to rise,shining it's beautiful light across the mountains of the pridelands.Something special was happening at Pride Rock.The animals were heading over,hearing that a new royal cub was being born to King Kovu and Queen Kiara. Inside the den was beautiful Kiara,who was surrounded by a group lionesses and her mother on her side. The cub was just born and was laying inside of Kiara's warm arms. It was a girl.She had a mixed pelt between Simba and Kiara's,and had most of Kiara's facial looks except her nose was black like Kovu's.Nala and the other's couldn't help but to smile down at new princess."Oh Kiara,she's beautiful!" said Nala.Kiara gave the cub a lick on the head and smiled,"Thank you mother". The cub looked up at her mother for the first time and smiled,beginning to purr her way through while Kiara gave her a soft quick nuzzle.

Within minutes,Kovu had finally arrived with Rafiki the monkey on his side.He smiled,seeing his daughter for the first time and gave Kiara a nuzzle."She's very beautiful Kiara. Did you figure out a name yet?" he said still smiling. Kiara nodded and smiled down at the little cub," I want to name her Shani" she said. Rafiki nodded as well,liking the name and said,"Shani huh?That's a wonderful name! It means adventurous". Timon and Pumbaa had walked up,trying to see if the cub was a boy and looked inside of Kiara's arms."Is it a boy? Please tell me it's a boy not a girl this time" said Timon anxiously. Kovu rolled his eyes with a chuckle and said,"It's a girl Timon". "A girl?! Oh not again! I guess our luck is over now Pumbaa" said Timon sighing. "Don't worry Timon,im sure this cub wont be a trouble maker at all like her mother use to be" said Pumbaa smiling. Kiara tried to hold her blush while Kovu made another chuckle.

Rafiki walked up to Kiara with his stick in his hand and said,"It is now time for Shani's presentation my queen". Kiara nodded while Rafiki carefully took Shani out of her mother's arms and headed outside of the den. Kovu,Timon and Pumbaa followed behind along with Nala and Kiara. Once all the animals got Rafiki's attention,he held little Shani into the air like he did with Simba and younger Kiara. The animals cheered on for the new feature queen,accepting her as their next heir of the pridelands. A light from the sky had appeared,shinning  down onto Shani's light orangey colored fur. It was Simba. He came to watch his granddaughter's ceremony and smiled. Kiara noticed her father's sprit in the sky and smiled as well,feeling the winds and leaves circling around her and Kovu. Another new circle of life has just already begun.

As time went on,It was spring season inside the pridelands. The birds were singing while most of the flowers were blooming. The sun just rise above the borders,turning night into day. Once the sunlight shinned inside the den, little Shani quickly got up with a smile. She knew that it was morning and ran outside the den,standing at the edge of Pride Rock. She was about to run off until Kovu stomped ontop of her tail with his paw like Simba did with younger Kiara. He made a grin and said,"Where are you going in such a hurry?". Shani wondered her eyes,trying to think of some excuse. "Uh... no where dad" she said quickly with a inasent smile. Kovu sat down as he let go of her tail. "How many times have I'd told you about running off Shani? Anything can happen out here, even though we live in a safer area in the pridelands" he said. "But I was only going to play by the waterhole,I was gonna come back" she said. "What if you didn't come back?" he said,"Me and your mother would of been sad".

Shani sighed at the ground,"I know..." she said. Kovu made a smile."Now go ahead Shani,be back before breakfast if you want to eat not starve" he said,heading back inside the den. Shani made a huge smile and yelled,"Alright!" then ran off into the grasslands where the waterhole was.She figured she was alone but for long.Kovu had sent out Timon and Pumbaa to watch over her,just in case if she gets in any trouble or danger. When she got up to the waterhole, she spotted a small butterfly flying her in circles. She made a playfully growl and tried to catch it with her small claws.She missed.The butterfly flew off while she chased after it through grassy plains. While she was running,she ran into something big that was twice her size. It was Pumbaa. Pumbaa quickly helped her up and said,"There you are princess Shani! We were looking all for you". Shani stood up and rolled her eyes and said,"I knew my dad would send you two".

"Yeah,he just doesn't want you to get into any danger or hurt out here" said Timon. Suddenly,Pumbaa's stomach began to growl. "Boy,im hungry! Come on Timon,lets go to our favorite spot to get some grubs" he said smiling. Timon smiled as well and pulled up a huge long as thousands of insects crawled out. Him and Pumbaa began eating,not even having their eyes focused on Shani. Shani knew this was her chance to quickly escape as she snuck away into the tall grass,which led a path into a way out of the pridelands. Once she got far away from Timon and Pumbaa,she began doing her favorite thing when she finds a new place.Explore. While she was walking, she came across a different lion cub who seemed to be a pridelander. He looked very similar to Vitani and she probably was his mother.

His name was Chioma.He was exiled from the pridelands by Simba's orders.Simba heard Chioma say that he was going to kill him once he's older and follow Zira's and Scar's paw-prints.So Simba got angry and smack him in the face,leaving a huge claw mark on the side of his face.Chioma was so upset and ran off,which became his exile and never returned again. Once Chioma looked at Shani he walked passed her side with a smile and said, "My,what beautiful eyes you have!". Shani blushed and said,          " Thank you" as she wacthed him leave. Chioma couldn't resist but to chat with her for a minute and said," My name is Chioma by the way". Shani smiled, "Im Shani!". "Nice to meet you,so where are you from? I've never saw your kind here before" he said sitting down infront of her. "Im from Pride Rock,It's in the pridelands" she said sitting down as well. Chioma frowned at the ground,remembering his old home which use to be the pridelands and said,"Oh the pridelands....". Shani nodded," Yeah,whats wrong?" she said.

Chioma shook his head and looked up at her with a smile," Nothing.Well, welcome to the Baobab Periphery! Wanna be friends?" he said. Shani nodded again and made a huge smile," Sure! Let's play" she said excitedly. "Play what?" said Chioma still smiling. "Let's play tag! Tag,your it!" She said and ran off laughing. Chioma made a chuckle and ran behind her. He was always a fast runner. Once he got close up to Shani,he was about to pounce ontop of her until Kovu jumped infront of Shani with a loud roar. She got so scared that she hid behind her father's legs while Chioma shook with fear.Luckily his adoptive mother Nakora arrived just in time to protect him and growled at Kovu. Kovu stood strongly and said," Stay away from my daughter" with a frown and growled at Chioma then Nakora. Nakora snarled," Please,like my son wants to be with her" she said and picked up Chioma,heading back home. Kovu did the same thing with Shani and gave Nakora another mean look then looked away. Chioma cried a tear,upset that he wont be seeing Shani ever again.

Shani sighed,trying to hold her tears back as she closed her eyes with sadness all over her face.When they got home safely into the pridelands Kiara had ran up to Kovu,seeing Shani alright and smiled. "Oh Shani you are alright!" she said,giving her a soft nuzzle. Kovu sat Shani on the ground and began telling Kiara where she found Shani and that he met a suspicious lioness too. "I found Shani in some lion territory with Chioma.Im surprised he's still alive after Simba had exiled him.That lioness must of took him in her pride and raised him as her own. She's very strange,she reminds me of my mother..." he said. "Well at least our little Shani is alright,I was worried sick after Timon and Pumbaa said that they lost her" said Kiara,still nuzzling Shani.Kovu frowned at Shani and said," You must never go see that lion again Shani,he's trouble and so is that lioness". Shani looked confused and said," Why dad? Chioma seems very nice.We've become friends". Kovu looked up at the sky then headed back inside the den," Well you cant be friends with him anymore,you must be watched so I can know that you wont see him again" he said.

Shani cried on her mother's arm,upset that she really wont be able to see Chioma never again. Kiara knew how Shani felt and tried to calm her down and sighed.She remembered at time when she was young and how she met Kovu,but her father Simba never let her go see him again because he was trouble. Kiara made a smile and gave Shani a lick on the head and said," Shhh my little one,everything will be okay.Im sure you'll meet some other friends soon". Shani nodded as her and Kiara both
