It had come as a shock two Afua and Kiara, they had never planned to get married. Yes they loved each other, and this would be mainly for the kingdom, but MARRIED?! That just wasn't right, the two had argued with Vitani all day until she finally let Afua and Kiara have sometime alone to think. Afua looked at Kiara and frowned. "Look we have to think things over." He said. This really bugged Kiara. "You think!" Kiara looked at Afua who looked really sad. "Look I'm sorry," she said "I really like you Afua, but this is just too much pressure for me!" Afua nodded. "I know, I know, it's just what else are we gonna do. Get married? I love you Kiara but..." The little lioness had to interrupt him here. "You love me?" Afua blushed and nodded "For real? I thought Kovu loved me, but he never did. Not truly." Afua looked up at her and smiled. "Well I'm not an idiot then am I?" Kiara laughed. Her whole face would light up whenever she laughed. "See, if we love each other, and tolerate each other we can do this. We'll always be friends, so if we fall out of love then we can still be friends. We could still take over the Pridelands!" Afua grinned happily. "So we're getting married?" Kiara squeaked excitedly.
"We're getting married!"
1 year later.
Today was a very important day for every lion in the Pridelands. Kiara and Afua were happily married and today Kiara had given birth to a strong little cub. Afua was the last lion to see the baby, tradition I suppose. Kiara didn't want to name the cub before Afua came to see the babe. Afua saw Kiara lounging in the cave with Vitani and ran up to her. He couldn't wait to see his child. As he approached Kiara he saw it, lying in her arms. The most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. "My little boy!" He smiled at Kiara. Vitani laughed. "Well I hate to disappoint you, but it's a girl!" Afua nodded, embarrassed. "Oh yeah I um, I knew that, I was just testing you!" Vitani rolled her eyes. "Yeah, of course!" Kiara giggled and licked her baby girl on the head. "Isn't she wonderful Afua! I decided to name her Kifua." Afua smiled. "A perfect name for a perfect girl!" Vitani pretended to throw up at the icky moment. Kiara gave her a stern look. "Well that isn't what a God-mother should act like. Bad example I think!" Vitani jumped up and squeaked, making Kifua cry. "I'm her God mother!?" Kiara nodded whilst Vitani did a little happy dance. "But I'm me! I'm sarcastic, childish, and beautiful!" Vitani said batting her eyelashes her big blue eyes shining. Kiara smiled and whispered to Afua. "Can you believe that she tried to set fire to me?" Afua laughed awkwardly. The three talked and laughed, it was a special day, they'd celebrate later and Vitani said they should get Rafiki to bless the cub. Afua loved the idea and got Vitani to go to Rafiki's tree to get him. Vitani didn't really want to do this, she'd rather be cuddling Kifua! She grumbled and shouted up at the tree. "Hey! Monkey! C'mon down here! I need to talk to you!" No one answered her. "Hey!" She growled, he was probably out getting herbs or something. She turned around to head home when she heard something in the bushes behind her, she went and had a look and no one was there. She felt a tug on her tail and turned around, claws out and teeth bared. No one was there. Vitani growled. "Come out you dumb ape!" Vitani turned around and saw him, sat there. On her back. Vitani swiped at Rafiki with her paw but missed as he jumped off of her and hit her with his stick. Vitani grumbled. "Ouch! My head! Why do that?" Rafiki smiled his sharp teeth glistening. "Why not?" Vitani groaned, she was getting nowhere talking to this crazy monkey. What was wrong with him? As Vitani was thinking she looked back at Rafiki who was already a mile away, limping against his stick. "Hey!" She shouted, running after him. "I need your help! Can you do a blessing for Kiara's new cub?" Rafiki carried on walking, shaking his head. "No! I am to busy with Nala's cubs!" Vitani looked at him with wide eyes. "Nala's cubs!? She gave birth? When?" Rafiki laughed. "Silly girl, not keeping track of your queens babies!" Vitani snarled, Nala was not her queen neither was Kovu her king and these cubs would never be her future kings/queens. She started shouting. "When were the cubs born?!" Rafiki ignored her and climbed to the near by trees, swinging about like a young baboon. Vitani would never be able to keep up with him now. She had to get to Kiara and tell her the bad news.
"So what are we gonna do?" Kiara asked the news had come as a shock to the new mother, she was sleeping in her cave until Vitani came running in. "This plan obviously won't what with more cubs in the picture. We had the upper paw with an older cub but Mom's children could grow up to be monstrous in size, she could have two sons who would easily rip Kifua apart. Her daughter could never overthrow Kovu without going through two males. Wait, what if there was more than two, three, four! What if she had five cubs! It could happen!" Afua shook his head, cradling his little girl. "Shh quiet she's sleeping! Look your mom isn't as young as she was before, she will probably only have had two or maybe three cubs! Relax!" Vitani nodded. "She might of had two girls! You never know untill we find out!" Kiara sighed. "But how are we supposed to find out?"
"I think I could answer your question...."
