condition.
"Kovu will live but he has a fever because of his infected wounds," Rafiki said.
"I'm just glad that Kovu is going to live," Kali said.
"Me too Kali," Chiku said.
The next week was hard on Kovu since the medicine stung each time it was applicated to his wounds. He finally recovered a few days after that. It felt like forever since the last time Kovu was out of the cave.
"I'm glad you're all better Dad," Aziza said.
"Me too," Chiku said.
Three months later, it was time for Chiku to give birth. After a four hour labor, Chiku gave birth to two females. She was happy now that she is a mother. Kovu walked over and admired his granddaughters. He gave Chiku a loving nuzzle.
"Congratulations," Kovu said.
"Thank you Dad," Chiku said.
"Kali, come and see your daughters," Kovu said.
Kali came over to see two bundles of fur cradled in Chiku's arms. He thought they were beautiful. The rest of the pride came over to see the newborn twins. Chiku and Aziza's elderly Great Aunt Shani came in for a closer look at the twins.
"They look just like you Chiku," Shani commented.
"Glad you love them Shani," Simba said.
Simba and Nala went over to see their Great Granddaughters still cradled in Chiku's arms.
"What are their names?" Nala asked.
"Their names are Kiara and Faizah," Chiku said.
"Those are lovely names Chiku," Nala said.
"I'm glad you think so Grandma," Chiku said.
The pride was happy about two new members being born but they'll never forget the untimely death of their previous Queen.
