Kiara's death is a terrible tragedy. The whole pride was in tears during her funeral. Kiara's best friend Hawa was crying very hard because of losing Kiara. Kovu was the worst though. He couldn't stay for the whole funeral so he went back to the cave. Chiku and Aziza were worried about their father even though they were incredibly upset as well. They decided to go into the cave and give him some comfort. Kovu was glad to see that Chiku and Aziza were willing to cheer him up through their sadness. It pained the twins to see their father this upset.

"I wish your mother was still alive, I miss her so much," Kovu muttered.

"We do too Dad," Chiku said.

"Hawa is a very nice lioness, she has been a great friend," Aziza said.

"I know, but I'm not ready to love again yet," Kovu said.

"Way to make Dad even more upset moron," Chiku scolded.

"Hey, don't call each other names, its not nice," Kovu scolded.

"I didn't call Chiku names, thats what she did to me," Aziza pointed out.

"I know," Kovu said.

"I hate it when Chiku calls me names," Aziza said.

"Did you ever get called names when you were a cub Dad?" Chiku asked.

"Your Uncle Nuka used to call your Aunt Vitani and I names like fleabags or termites," Kovu said.

"Thats not nice," Aziza said.

"It made Vitani and I feel upset because we never treated him badly," Kovu said.

"How old was he?" Chiku asked.

"He was a year old when Vitani and I were about six months old," Kovu said.

After a while, Chiku, Aziza and Kovu were all cheered up. The rest of the pride came back into the cave and wondered why Kovu, Chiku and Aziza left for the cave.

"The funeral was too tough for me to handle so Chiku and Aziza left the funeral to cheer me up," Kovu said.

"I know how it feels, I loved Kiara too," Nala said.

"Kiara was my only friend until you and Vitani befriended me," Hawa said.

"Are you okay now King Kovu?" Kamila asked.

"Kamila, just call me Kovu," Kovu said.

"Alright," Kamila said.

"The same goes for you Chaka," Kovu said.

"Okay Kovu," Chaka said.

The next six months have been hard on the pride but Kovu felt ready enough to move on with his life and choose Hawa as his new mate and Queen. Chaka and Kamila were also like daughters to Kovu and they loved him like the father they never had since they never met their birth father. Hawa and Kovu decided to get married in two weeks.

"Its so nice that you and Mom have decided to get married Kovu," Chaka said.

"I still miss Kiara, but she'd want me to move on with my life and not be miserable," Kovu said.

Zazu suddenly flew in and perched himself on Kovu's shoulder in a panic. Kovu saw the frightened look on Zazu's face and asked him what was happening.

"Your daughter Chiku has been attacked," Zazu said.

"I'll go get her," Kovu said.

Kovu ran over to the waterhole and saw Chiku laying on her back unconscious. She was still breathing so Kovu took it as a sign that she's still alive. He sighed with relief and lifted her onto his back and carried her back to Pride Rock and set her down in the cave. Nala saw that Chiku was injured and needed to be seen by Rafiki immediately. Kovu sent Zazu to fetch Rafiki so he can examine Chiku. Rafiki arrived twenty minutes later to examine Chiku. After the examination, Rafiki told them that Chiku has a broken leg. She would have to stay laying down for three weeks.

"This sucks!" Chiku complained.

"Hey, watch your language young lady," Zazu scolded.

"Oh Zazu, you're so proper," Kovu taunted.

Two weeks have passed and Hawa was now the new Queen of Pride Rock and Kovu's new mate. Nala and Simba were glad to see that Kovu found love again. They didn't think he would after Kiara's death. Chaka and Kamila were especially happy about having a father again even though Kovu is the only father they'll ever know. Chiku and Aziza were glad that they have Chaka and Kamila as their step sisters and Hawa as their step mother. After Chiku has fully healed, she went out to make new friends. A rogue was seen at the waterhole. He is a light grey lion with sky blue eyes, a pink Outlander nose and a brown mane. Chiku though he was very gorgeous. She walked over to him.

"How are you doing today?" Chiku asked.

"I'm doing fine, you?" he asked.

"Good," Chiku asked.

"My name is Kali, whats your name?" Kali asked.

"My name is Chiku," Chiku said.

"Thats a nice name," Kali said.

"Thanks, your name is nice too," Chiku said.

"Thanks," Kali said.

"Want to come home with me to meet my family?" Chiku asked.

"I'd love to meet your family," Kali said.

Chiku and Kali walked back to Pride Rock and was met up by the pride. Kovu was the first to walk up to Kali. He wondered who he was and Kali told him that he's a rogue.

"Everyone, this is Kali," Chiku said.

"Its nice to meet you," Kali said.

The pride all agreed that it was nice to meet Kali. Chiku was especially happy to have met him. Chaka and Kamila came over to Kali to get a closer look at him.

"Is he your boyfriend Chiku?" Kamila taunted.

"Kamila, we just met," Chiku said.

"Yeah, we want to get to know each other before considering a relationship," Kali pointed out.

Kamila walked away as Chiku talked to Kali.

"Who is she?" Kali asked.

"She is one of my step sisters, my other step sister is in the cave," Chiku said.

The next few months for Kali and Chiku turned into a romance, they spent every day together relaxing in the sun. Kovu and Hawa watched from a distance and knew that Chiku was in love with Kali.

"It'll be only a matter of time until we're Grandparents," Hawa said.

"Yeah, I know," Kovu said.

As the night was getting later, Kali and Chiku were cuddling next to each other and they soon fell asleep. Once morning hit, Chiku felt funny. She wondered what was making her not feel so good. Kali suggested it would be a good idea to get checked out. Chiku agreed and went to see Rafiki.

"I'll come down to see you Chiku," Rafiki said.

Chiku waited for Rafiki to climb out of his tree and stood in front of her.

"So, you feel sick this morning?" Rafiki asked.

"Yeah," Chiku admitted.

After a few minutes, Rafiki confirmed that Chiku was pregnant. Chiku was happy about the news but was worried about how Kali and the pride will take to it. The thought made Chiku upset. Rafiki assured her that the everyone will understand. A few minutes later, Chiku walked over to Kali and they walked back to Pride Rock in silence. Once they got to the cave, they approached Kovu and Hawa.

"Where have you two been?" Kovu asked.

"We were stargazing last night and we dozed off," Kali said.

"I'm pregnant," Chiku said.

"Pregnant?" Hawa asked.

"I'm the father," Kali said.

It took a while for the pride to get used to the news but they weren't angry.

"You're not mad at us because we're having cubs?" Chiku asked.

"Of course not," Kovu said.

Kovu and Hawa were happy about becoming Grandparents. If Kiara was still alive, she'd be happy too. The news about Chiku's pregnancy spread like wild fire all the way to the jungle. An elderly lioness by the name of Jamila was very angry with the news since she knew it was her son Kali becoming a father. She decided to leave the jungle and travel to Pride Rock. It was a five day trip but it was worth it for her to yell at Kali. She got to Pride Rock a few minutes later. The pride came out to greet her but she roared at them.

"Mom, what are you doing here?" Kali asked.

"To bring you back to the jungle and away from your girlfriend," Jamila snapped.

"I'm not going," Kali said.

Jamila suddenly knocked Kali out with one swipe of her paw to his head. Chiku roared at Jamila and checked up on Kali. Kovu stood up to Jamila but she knocked him down too. She kept attacking until Chaka and Kamila knocked Jamila off of Kovu. Jamila ran away in fright and left for the jungle. The pride saw that both Kovu and Kali were unconscious. Hawa nudged Kovu with her nose as he sat back up.

"Ohhhh," Kovu moaned.

"Do you feel okay Kovu?" Hawa asked.

Kovu shook his head.

"I'm going to go lay down for a while," Kovu said.

"I'll go get Rafiki," Chiku said.

After Chiku went to get Rafiki, she led him into where Kovu was laying down. Rafiki gently woke him up. Kovu moaned and tried to sit up but he was too sore.

"What happened?" Rafiki asked.

Kovu explained that Kali's mom came to Pride Rock and attacked for no reason other than the fact that Kali is her son and that she hated that he's going to be a father. Rafiki noticed that Kovu wasn't feeling so good but he still asked him questions. Kovu winced as Rafiki was checking him out.

"It seems that your wounds are infected Kovu," Rafiki said.

"I also have a headache," Kovu said.

The next thing Rafiki told Kovu was that he has a fever. Kovu didn't take well to the news at all. In fact, he was very angry. Rafiki decided to go out and inform the pride about Kovu's condition.
