Chapter 1: Prince Zuberi, The Unwanted

A long, long, time ago, Mandrill and Lioness marriage was not unusual! There was a mandrill named Zuberi, who had blue fur and a red beard, and he was married to the most beautiful lioness, who was cream with a brown stripe on her head, Zera. They all moved from the jungle, but Zawadi and Zalika had their own pride.

As usual, there was that one lion that didn't aprove, and that was the king, Zawadi. Zawadi was a lion with a big, dark brown mane and dark orange fur, with blue eyes.

Zera was Zawadi's daughter. Yet, even though she was the princess, she was not going to be queen. Zawadi was searching for an answer to not putting his daughter in the hands of the throne, yet there was no one else.

"ZUBERI!" roared King Zawadi

Zuberi came up to the king.

"Now, Zuberi, sometimes, I fear that my throne will forcefully be taken." said the king

"You do? Well, after you die, I will have to step up to the throne, as the Mandrill King." said Zuberi

"Well, I now fear the throne is in wrong hands. You are too devious to be king." said Zawadi

"Even if I am, I am the prince. The throne will be mine when you die, whether Zera takes over with me or not." said Zuberi

Zuberi got up and relaxed on his private bed.

Zalika, a lioness with brown fur and red eyes, came into the Termite Mound when Zuberi went to sleep.

"I fear our throne, Zawadi." whispered Zalika "For this monkey will cause problems. He only knew his sister and brother, and the sister died. The brother killed himself in sadness!"

"Especially, because his mother I have met." said Zawadi in equel whisper "His mother tried to kill me, saying I was the one responsible for the death of her son and daughter. She was not right. I cannot trust that the monkey  will follow in his mother's footsteps."

"Yet, he is all we have." said Zalika "If only Zakiya were here."

Zera creeped up to her mate. "Zuberi." she mumbled

"What?" he whispered

"Get your butt out of bed!" said Zera, this time at a normal voice, yet you could tell she was angry

"Shut up." said Zuberi, punching Zera in the head, and Zera ran out

Chapter 2 Zakiya's Return

The majordomo, Yamilex, came running up into the Termite Mound and up to King Zawadi.

"Yes, Yamilex?" whispered King Zawadi, as Zuberi was asleep

"King Zawadi, Zakiya is with Yumna in the Outlands!" whispered Yamilex

"What?" asked Zawadi and he climbed out of the cave, and saw, sure enough, a chocolate male with a dark brown mane, and a chocolate lioness.

He slinked into the Outlands, an adult Yamilex by his side.
 
"Papa. I knew when coming here I'd see you." snarled Zakiya

"Of course.....yet.....it's great to see you.....since you ran away....." said Zawadi

"Since I adopted him, he has been a loyal member to the Experience pride!" said Yumna

"Yumna.....the one who kidnapped my son....." said Zawadi

"Actually, your son ran away. He gave up the throne. He let his only chance at the throne walk away." said Yumna

"I know....." said Zawadi

"Well, life goes on. Zakiya heard the throne was being taking over by a smelly monkey and he had no choice but to return." said Yumna

"I guess I HAVE to come here since the only othere ruler there could be is a stinky monkey." laughed Zakiya

"I know, and you'll be the king when I die. Like, a curse lifted off me." said Zawadi

Chapter 3 Reunion

Zawadi, Yamilex, and Zakiya went up to the top level of the Termite mound, and bounced in to the bottom, the Royal Level. Zalika was shocked at the new male's entrence. Zera walked in, and saw the new male. A tear ran down Zera's face.

"Zakiya, your back!" whispered Zera, with Zuberi still sleeping

Zera went and nuzzled her brother.

Zuberi woke up. He looked jelously at the male.

"What is this horrible, smelly, male doing here?" snarled Zuberi

"That's my brother, and the future king." snarled Zera

"I'm the future king." said Zuberi

"No, you are not. You have never met my brother?" asked Zera

"No.....I didn't know you had a brother." said Zuberi

"You didn't?" asked Zera

"I didn't." said Zuberi

"Oh, well, your never going to be king now." said Zera

"Your brother's going to have to go. I'm going to be king. Correct?" asked Zuberi

"Correct? Didn't you just here....." started Zera

Yet, she stopped.

Chapter 4: Ontop of the Termite Mound

King Zawadi and Prince Zakiya went climbed up to the top of the Termite Mound.

"Papa?" asked Zakiya

"Yes, Zakiya." said Zawadi

"The Pridelands Pride, they assasinated you, yet Yamileix is a Pridelander and you let him be your majordomo after you were assasinated." said Zakiya

"He was my majordomo before and he hasen't failed me. Why would I stop letting him be my majordomo?" asked Zawadi

"I see. He was your majordomo before and nothing was going to change that." said Zakiya

"Exactly. That is why I trust him." said Zawadi

"Yet, I do not trust Zuberi." said Zakiya

"I don't either, but Zera married him and we're stuck with him." said Zawadi

"Yes, but I still don't believe he supports you." said Zakiya

"I don't think that either. He says he supports me, but he also plans on taking over the throne with force when I die." said Zawadi

"That is horrible! This mandrill is evil!" said Zakiya

"He isn't evil! I'm convinced of that! I won't let evil into my pride!" roared Zawadi

"Zera isn't happy with him! He doesn't like you, and I think he's plotting against both of you!" said Zakiya

"He could and he probubly is, but I can't act on something I have no proof of." said Zawadi

Zawadi and Zakiya went down again, to the Royal Level.

Chapter 5: The Death of King Zawadi and Queen Zalika

King Zawadi and Queen Zalika were old, and dying. It took alot for Zawadi and Zalika to leave the Royal Level. When Zakiya finally came down to the Royal Level, Zawadi, Zalika, Zuberi, and Zera were all talking.

"What are you guys talking about?" asked Zakiya

"Me." said Zera "I'm going to have Zuberi's cub!"

"What?" asked Zakiya

"Yep. I never thought it would happen, since Zuberi is a monkey." said Zera

"Wow, is this true?" asked Zakiya, looking at Zuberi

"Yep, and I never thought parenthood was my thing. Now it has to be." said Zuberi

"Yet," Zera said, becoming sadder "There is some not so good news as well."

"What's that?" asked Zakiya

"Mama and Papa are very weak." said Zera

The pride shamon came.

"Oh, no. This doesn't look good. This spells the end. They have less than a day. Their health is detearierating, and I don't believe they will live more than a few minuets." the Shamon said

"What?" asked Zakiya

"Za-ki-ya." said Zawadi

"Yes, Papa?" asked Zakiya

Zawadi looked, sadly at Zakiya.

"I'm not ready to be king! Not yet!" said Zakiya

"I know your ready, you have to be. Don't let Zuberi ruin this land. Please, don't let Zuberi kill us all." said Zawadi

"I, I can't promise that. I don't know what I'm doing. How can I stop him from killing Zera?" asked Zakiya

"Stand in his way, don't let anything happen." said Zawadi

"Yet, what if that isn't enough?" asked Zakiya

"Then I will hate you for all eternity. You will have failed us, and you will mean nothing to me." said Zawadi

"Yes, don't fail me my son. You must be a good king. If you are not.....I will never forgive you." said Zalika

Then, Zawadi and Zalika spoke no more. They stoped breathing. Then, their faint heartbeats stopped. The king and queen were dead.

"Goodbye." sobbed Zalika

Chapter 8: King Zakiya

Zakiya went up one level of the Termite Mound. Then, he looked at Zuberi. "If I don't have a cub, and die, you will be the new king." he said

"Thanks." said Zuberi, uninthusiastically

Zakiya turned towards the opening, and went up all the levels, and got ontop on the Termite mound. He roared.

His pride, from inside, roared in response.

King Zakiya would share the throne with Queen Zera.

He came down, hearing a roar, and soon, both Zera and another lioness, Suhaila. Zera's cub had brown fur and green eyes. Suhaila's, was yellow, and had bangs.

"Their beautiful." Zakiya said

"His name is Stara." said Zera

"His?" asked Zakiya

"Yes, it's a boy, and one day he will be king." said Zera

"Think again." said Zakiya "Shared king."

"My cub's name is Shubira." said Suhaila

"Really? Maybe Shubira can be betrothed to Stara." said Zakiya

"She can't be betrothed to her cousin." said Suhaila

"So.....I'm the father?" asked Zakiya

"Yes." said Suhaila

Then, Siham came into the room. He had his stick in his mouth. He took the fruit and dangled it above both the cub's heads. He then put dust on
