Look At Those Happy Faces
Yeah, REAL happy guys! You're not even trying!
Soooo I'm hoping that I can go through this, but I'm planning on doing pics of my versions of the official TLK characters with their families just to show them off!
So why not start off with the first family? I updated Mohatu's design so that he could kind of stand out a bit more xD And yes, Joe is meant to be smaller than his mate - he's a runt, and not quite in the best shape.
For those who don't know, Joe mated with Gbemisola not out of love, but to exploit his newborn cubs and make his own legacy off of them. Gbemisola had thought Joe was a king in his own right (which was what he had told her) until she found out that he was the complete opposite.
They had three cubs - Selfish (formerly named Emeka, the oldest cub), Asabi (the middle-born), and Mohatu (the runt, though actually not so - he grew to be bigger than both Emeka and Asabi). Joe took Mohatu and Selfish while Gbemisola kept Asabi.
Joe quickly took to Mohatu because of his abnormal size despite being a runt, and spoiled his youngest son while not bothering much with Selfish. This was what began the split between the two brothers.
Joe dies but Mohatu and Selfish are old enough to survive on their own. Mohatu takes a mate, Thema, and begins his own pride; Selfish remains a rogue and begins to cause problems for Mohatu out of sheer spite. Asabi, scarred by their abusive mother, joins Mohatu and lives and dies for her brother after she is killed by Selfish.
Mohatu, unable to kill his own flesh and blood, chases his brother away, only for Selfish to meet his own end by Tanglemane, his comrade at the time. Mohatu outlives both of them and dies at the age of fourteen, leaving the pride in the paws of his oldest daughter, Uru.
Up next will be Mohatu, Thema, and their cubs.
