The Aftermath I

I can't believe I haven't done this yet. Oh well, time to rectify that!

This is going to be a series of shots of Ari's pride (including Ari herself) grieving the losses they suffered during the battle against Abel when he decides to attack Judas and his pride.

The first is Chari - in the fight, Rena, the lioness he had a crush on, sacrifices her life to save him, and it chews him up from the inside. As Lesedi is one of his closest friends in the pride, her crush/mate Haruna tries to coax the lioness to talk to him. However, being also emotionally crushed from the conflict, Lesedi finds it hard in her to try and comfort her friend.

'Just go talk to him, Lesedi,' said Haruna, gazing out of the corner of hir eye at the lioness. 'He needs a friend.'

'I... don't think I'm in the position to do that right now, Haruna...' Lesedi looked away. 'Maybe he needs to be alone. He lost Rena after all...'

'It's not right, Lesedi.'

'I know it's not. But... I can't go talk to him. Not right now.'
