Now, to clarify, when I had made note that I liked Scar/Sarabi very much, I had meant it in an unrequited love sense. Sarabi never loves Scar, as her heart always belonged to Mufasa, but Scar is in love with her. It's one of the many reasons that he becomes hateful of Mufasa.
So in my universe, Scar and Sarabi were good friends when they were growing up, as they were around the same age (which, yes, makes Sarabi slightly older than Mufasa). However, Uru's intent was to betroth Sarabi to Mufasa since Scar was not a legitimate heir, even though he's the oldest.
Scar began to fall in love with Sarabi, but not Sarabi to him. Though she had doubts about her arrangement with Mufasa (not to mention all the exaggerated tales she had heard from Scar), she saw that Mufasa wasn't as big of a threat as Scar had made him out to be, and she grew attracted to him.
The growing distance between Sarabi and Scar grows considerably once Scar obtains his scar and changes his name completely. It was only when Scar finds out that Sarabi is pregnant with Judas that their friendship becomes nothing more than a shamble of what it had been.
AGAIN, THIS IS JUST MY OWN VERSION OF THESE TWO, THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT ALL THAT I WROTE IS TRUE FOR THEM.

Wow, this became a Must-See? Awesome! Thanks to whoever thought that
this was good enough to be part of the Fan Art for the Week! Brown - You're right, it can go either way. I only when with Scar being in love with Sarabi but not vice versa because it seemed to make the most sense to me. However, some people have had interesting versions where Sarabi was in love with Scar, so I don't think that it's a bad idea at all. Besides, unrequited love scenarios are so much fun xD Unless it's not an unrequited love scenario, then otherwise I couldn't say that I liked Scar/Sarabi as a couple overall. Mateka - Thank you so much! ^^ And haha, gotta love the heartbreaks here and there, it's what makes everything more captivating and engaging xD |

It's cool, Dakota. You are more than entitled to your opinion of
Mufasa, Scar, and Sarabi. If anything, I can agree with much of what
you have said. As for me, on a personal side of this, I'm a little torn. I am all for the unrequited love, with it's Scar loving Sarabi, but Sarabi not loving him, or Sarabi loving Scar, but Scar not loving her. Really, it can go either way. No one is right, no one is wrong, and that's the beauty of creating our own universes for this fantastic one! Oh, and congrats on this image making Must-See fan art of the week! |
