You're So Useless
In my universe, Scar is not the son of Uru and Ahadi, but rather the son of Ahadi and Uru's sister, Nakato. He was born before Mufasa.
However, Uru was never happy about Nakato loving Ahadi, and made her sister give up Scar in exchange for not exiling her.
Despite that, Uru never grows to love Scar. She favors her own sons, Mufasa and Mega, over him, and despite him being the oldest, he won't be the leader of the Pridelands. She doesn't go out of her way to physically abuse him, but often she diminishes his worth by comparing him to Mufasa, which is where his jealous towards his brother stems from.

I think you hit the nail right on the head. That's why we must go out
and subvert the standards, switch the game up a bit! Let the mom be
the mean one in this case! And yeah, big reason why, among many
others. It's too bad, since it really wasn't Mufasa's fault for what
had happened between them. |

Yeah, Ahadi always seems to get the brunt of the blame...maybe it's
just easier to imagine the father being cold rather than the mother.
Yup, I'm seeing a Catelyn/Jon scenario unfolding here. No wonder Scar
was so resentful of Mufasa! |

Nope, Uru isn't nice at all! Which is much more refreshing than Ahadi
always being the bad guy! I'd probably say that these two are a mild
case of Catelyn and Jon. We haven't yet reached the boundaries
Tywin/Tyrion's relationship has crossed xD |
