After the cheetah attack ravages Ikeena's pride, Nubia and Kamau end up being separated from their pride. They're accepted into another pride where Nubia becomes second-in command and 'mate' to the male of the pride. Kamau is likewise raised by Nubia and brought up in a harsh environment that hardens his personality.

Whether they'll find their family again or not is yet to be seen...
