Follow Me If You Dare
After the incident with the Pridelanders, Vitani was given the task of cubsitting Kovu when their mother was away. Even though they were of the same litter, Zira deemed her daughter's abilities to keep an eye on Kovu to be greater than Nuka's...
But before Vitani knew it, Kovu had taken her to the crocodile river and she slowed to a halt. Kovu saw the hesitation in his sister's eyes and grinned.
"Come on, Tani. You're not scared are you? The Pridelander wasn't afraid. You don't want to be weaker than the pretty little princess, do you?"
Vitani said nothing. Darn these crocodiles. Those were the only things she truly feared. Besides her mother, naturally...
Kovu grinned wider. He knew Vitani wouldn't dare follow him across, and that would give him the perfect chance to see that Pridelander cub Kiara again...

Kovu is a master of getting rid of his cubsitters, even when Vitani is assigned to watch him :P She did stop him in the end though. Poor Kovu didn't get to see Kiara after all.
This obviously takes place soon after Kiara and Kovu meet for the first time. Probably when Kovu was having a "day off" from his training (if he ever had such a thing) or if Zira was busy doing something else and couldn't care if he got his daily dose of training or not... *shrugs* I'm just thinking out loud xD
I worked on this aall night 8D *twitch* But yay canon art! I believe it was Jazz1112 of TLKFAA who requested I draw Kovu again :3
