Chaka's death
In my version, Chaka, Shani, and Kaya are Kovu and Kiara's cubs. Kovu and Kiara die in a war with hyenas, who try to take over the Pridelands, leaving newborn Shani and Kaya by themselves. Chaka is a pre-teen when their parents die, and when Chaka is a teen, they are young cubs.
Writing says: (Next to the male lion)
I have come to bring the terrible news that the young price, Chaka, died in the war against hyenas. I am Niomo, from the Evergreens pride. We witnessed the ghastly seen, and thought I'd be useful to alert you of his death. I am terribly sorry.
Next to Shani and Kaya:
Kaya: Something terrible must have happened.....
Shani: Puh! Why should we believe him that Chaka died? He's an outsider!
Kaya: Why hasn't he returned then? (crying)
Shani:............ I.... I don't know.
This is when the news of Chaka's death is brought to the pride by a lion named Niomo. (Nee-om-oh.) Shani is the saddest, for her last words to her brother were, "You're no fun! I'd replace you with any other lion in a heart-beat! I hate you!" Then Chaka is comforted by his pregnant girlfriend, Zahalu. Chaka is called in alarm early in the morning being told that hyenas were invading and they needed his battle-claws. The rogue then came in and explained his death. Hope you like! Zahalu is the lioness in the left corner crying.
