Battered, bruised and exhausted after a particularly gruelling day of training, Kovu finally got to lie down on his favourite lookout. With a heavy sigh he let his head drop onto his front paws, trying not to groan from the pain. Why was his mother doing this to him? She kept saying it was for his own good and that his training was vital for when the day the battle against Simba came. Maybe she was right? Somebody that had caused him so much pain, even indirectly, deserved to have the same back. Yes... Simba was his enemy. His enemy! It was HIS fault that they had to live in this wasteland! And HIS fault that Kovu had to fight until he fainted! His fault... Yes, Zira had to be right.
