Yes, the brushes are the best bit about Krita for me. good with a tablet. I think I'd try Photoshop or Paint Tool Sai if it wasn't for how expensive / dubious to download they can be (respectively). Krita's kind of simple in comparison but I like to try push a simple tool to its limits, before moving on to, for instance, 'something that professionals use', just for that reason.

Hm, I've tried Krita a few times, and I don't really like it. It does come with a lot of nice brushes, though

I don't get asked that much actually I guess not as many people are as interested in drawing as they used to be back in the day But so flattered you asked! I use Krita - it's brilliant, for me - and a bit of GIMP for editing
