I know what you mean! Like I have Ngosi (blessing) and Jelani (strong). It's interesting when you do look at how people name their characters because it certainly reflects. Your characters are very unique, I think where naming is concerned, because I don't really see many of the popular names with your characters.

No I actually agree with your idea because I feel the same way. I mean there are a lot of characters on here that have names that mean 'honorable', 'good' or something of that sort, and there aren't a lot of other characters that are represented with names like 'warrior' or something like that (like my characters Lutalo, Abrafo, and Gacheru for example. Their names aren't exactly that positive when you read them).

Well I HAD an idea - do a bunch of Zuri's together. Unfortunately I want to stick to characters from friends who share the same name as my own, and there really aren't any =/ But let it be known that you did inspire me!

I think everyone wants their character to be seen in a positive light and if they give them a name that means something positive then it makes it popular. Maybe I'm reading into this a bit but it's just my two cents.

Nama - Ooh now you've given me an idea! And I agree, I think it's just that people want to their characters to be associated with good names like you said instead of names that are much more negative.

I know! Zuri is another quite popular name with the TLK fandom, I find. Maybe it's just names which make the character sound good are popular whereas names which mean 'doom' or 'murderer' or 'demon' are less common (unless the character is evil)

Nama - I think so too because it IS a very nice name. It's just funny to see how popular it is because then we gets results like this!

So many Saudas and all ofthem are epic! It's pretty interesting how much variation you can get with a name that means 'dark beauty'. I think it's a popular name because it has a nice meaning and it will fit just about any dark-furred female (or light furred as the case with one of them)
