Royalty and The Rogue
Just a quick picture of my version of Uru and Ahadi. I've been working with their designs and have updated them quite a bit.
Okay, now here, Uru is the rogue, not Ahadi. In my universe, Ahadi is the son of Mohatu and the heir to the throne. He despises getting betrothed to someone and instead tries to find love. In the meantime, Uru is a troublemaker who wanders the lands. When she stops by the Pridelands, she meets Ahadi when they squabble over a kill. Ahadi soon realizes how hungry she might be and lets her stay for a while. In that time, he realizes he loves her and she him, although it takes a few days for her to even look at him without glaring at him. She extends her stay and before she knows it, she's Ahadi's mate and the Queen of the Pridelands and is bearing him two cubs, Mufasa and Taka.
Now that dorsal stripe of Uru's doesn't mean anything. She's not related to Zira or anything; she just inherits it from her mother. In my universe, I've tried to make it that Mufasa and Scar aren't exact copies of their parents.
Mufasa inherits a lot from his father, including the eyes, the nose and the large chin. The only thing he inherits from Uru's side of the family is the thick red mane. Scar on the other hand, gets his looks from Choyo (Selfish Lion), who is Uru's brother. The only way he resembles his parents is with the black mane and Uru's brown coat.
This is also the first drawing I've done right out of my head, although I'm not that proud of it. I'll probably do a remake sometime in the future^^

That's alright too^^ It's just that most of the people (authors of
fancomics too) on DA prefer believing that Uru is Mohatu's heir and
that Ahadi is the rogue. Since they were my inspiration to start
drawing, I wanted to do something different for once. But of course,
you can't deny that Uru AND Ahadi both look like Mohatu, so any one of
them could be his heir^^ |

Well I tend to believe that Uru is the heir of Mohatu, but thats just
me. Practically everyone I see online says that Ahadi is the heir ...
So I'm alone here XD Love this drawing btw :3 they look just like my versions  |

Maybe it's something like a situation with Kiara, like a girl is the
heir, not the boy. But still, I've noticed that even if some people
make Ahadi Mohatu's heir and make him look like Mufasa, then Uru looks
like Scar. So far I haven't seen a fan version of Ahadi and Uru where
they look like mixed together they would produce Mufasa, and Scar got
his looks from a relative or something on either side. Well, to each
his own, as they say^^ |

Well, my version of Ahadi looks a little like a yellow Scar :'D But,
in my universe Ahadi gets his build from his mother, and his colors as
well. And you're right, many people do seem to make Uru Mohatu's heir
and Ahadi the rogue for some reason |

Thanks buddy^^ Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks that. It's
like everyone these days prefers Uru to be Mohatu's heir, and Ahadi
the rogue. That's also probably why many fan versions of Ahadi tend to
look like a yellow Scar |
