Light in the dark: Page 1

'GIRLS, GET UP!' Screeched Zira bounding into the cave. 'Ugh, this better be damn good.' Grumbled a grey lioness with red eyes as her and the two beside her clambered to their clawed feet. 'Follow me, I want to talk to ALL of you!' Zira cried and sprinted through the grass, the other three huffing and puffing behind her. They reached a cliff ledge and came to an abrupt halt, the palest lioness stopping at the last second and leaping backwards in fright. 'Careful Nyota.' Said the grey lioness as the gold one helped her up. 'Thanks Mabaya.' Nyota smiled. Zira turned impatiently. 'COME ON!!' The three lionesses turned and ran after her panting. The grey one caught up with Zira and slipping a large, strong paw between Ziras, managed to trip her. 'Chuki!!' Zira gasped, 'We're so close to the cliff edge!' Chuki rolled her eyes and looked down into the gorge far below. 'I'm sick of playing games. Tell us whats going on. NOW.' Growled Chuki. Zira sighed, 'Fine...' Chuki, Mabaya and Nyoti turned expectantly. 'I have great news,' Zira leapt onto a rock so she was higher up than them and looked into their eyes, which gleamed with apprehension. 'As you all know, I have recently been courting the great prince Taka. And last night, he asked me to be his mate.' The three lionesses all had different reactions. Nyota, d'awwwed, Mabaya laughed and Chuki snapped 'You can't be serious?!' Zira chuckled, loving the attention. 'Oh yes, I am deadly serious... Look at the sun, it is rising. Just like our lives will when I am queen of pride rock!' Zira flourished her paw dramatically and the three lionesses below her realised what was in store. Well, they thought they did.

I will put up those lionesses' pages when their story is finished so I don't give any spoilers... :)

Zira.. is happy. O.o wow! This is a reat image souly and the description/story waas awesome! I wondr what will happen next.. i wonder if its a little grey cub wiht Ziras eyes.....
