While reading a big cat fact book recently, I saw a picture of a mountain lion. It had a very distinct stripe down it's back, ending in a point on it's forehead just like Zira. I was thinking that maby Zira is a mountain lion or Disney got the idea for her design from mountain lions. What do you think?

Yet, she only lives in the desert because she was exciled! She would live in the Pridelands if she didn't! Sarabi doesn't live in the desert either.

Kopa -- Zira could be a desert African lion. So could Sarabi. Look at her complexion.

NO, Zira is an African Lion, not a desert lion!
