Mufasa + Simba Fan

Right, my question is... you know in The Lion King, straight after the Elephant's graveyard scene, when Mufasa has his "talk" with Simba? Well just before he starts talking (after Simba comes up to him), Mufasa is looking at the sky then closes his eyes slowly and bows his head. Why? Was he remembering something? or thinking of someone/something??? Please help me out.

Wow, this is an interesting thought. The disney team probably just put it in to show he was disapointed and relived but he could maybe be remembering something happening to him as a cub or maybe he was talking to his ancestors on how to deal with Simba.

Kira_hermione thanks for your brilliant answer! I'm still not 100% sure yet, I've just watched the clip of ity on my DVD and it looks as if Mufasa's trying not to cry??? I don't know. What do you think?
