why is it called lion king 1 and a half ?

like i have the video but on mine it says lion kink 3

its known as 1/2 in some places because its purpose was to show us timon and pumba's story both before and durring the orginal lion king kind of like fox and the hound2 or bambi2 it was a mid-equal i think its called

Actually in Canada it's called Lion King 1 and a half as well. So, I think it's all of North America that it's called Lion King 1 and a half...
