Timon and pumba were referring to kiara as "guy" so they thoguht she was a boy,maybe at the end of TLK was kiara, so Disney made them say this,to hint that it was actually looking like a boy but infact was a girl,because Timon and Pumbaa thought it was a boy,ust like some of us do/did.
