Ok,well the real answer is that Scar was called Taka before. He tricks Mufasa, saying that he started trouble with a water buffalo. His plan backfires when Mufasa escapes to safety and Taka is attacked by Boma's herd. He is slashed across the face by the a water buffalo's horns, and gains his scar. He asks to be called Scar from now on, instead of Taka.If you dont believe me,visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lion_King:_Six_New_Adventures. |

It depends.Scar got his scar via different means due to many non-canon stories. Some say he was injured by a buffalo while others claim it was a form of punishment from etheir Ahdai(his father) or Mufasa. All-in-all , it just depends of what story you're reading. |
