I understand that it isn't very clear, but Someone on another thread said 'Disney would be cruel enough to make them mate with someone so closely related!' Well, Kovu is Simba's cousin right??? And then they are Half Cousins (Kovu Kiara) Well, can someone please guide me through the relatives and such... I really don't get it!

Well Kovu was Simba's ADOPTED cousin. Not his full cousin. That makes Kovu/Kiara more alright because Kovu and Simba aren't blood cousins.

Kovu's father is unknown but in the movies he say "he wasn't my father" so they aren't related and Nala's father is not know but i they wouldn't of made it scar or mufasa witch poeple tend to think. So there is no family breeding. WQ is right though animals don't look at family trees. If you look far enough back your own family tree i bet you'll find family you never knew about.

Well, in real life, animals will not look at their family trees. Beside that, Kove is an outsider, simba's family will not look kovu as a family. Am I right?
