In TLK2, they kept talking about some "outlanders." Well, in TLK1, they didn't say anything about any "outlanders," TLK2 was all about "outlanders."

It's because Scar had followers in the pride in his plan to
kill Mufasa and Simba and become king himself. So when Simba
became king he banished them away from the pride lands, so
they became 'outlanders'.
