Being an indentical twin myself, I know these things XD me and my sister are anything but different in personality and looks these days

Yes, they can look very similar as babies, but as they grow they should have more distinguishable features for an example:
one still has lighter fur while the other goes darker due to genes, or one of their eyes' change to a more prominent gene handed down

I have different faicial features that match up to our mom's (I'm the only kid in my family that does XD), hair, and eyes from my twin, she has lighter hair, darker eyes, and more of our dad's face

But that's my advice and experience with being a twin, hope it helps

As long as you try to make each character as different as you can while still keeping true to your idea of them being identical twins, it should be alright. For example, eye color is good, personality could be another idea, their history, and even gender could help too.
