As I've counted, I've seen five AS bots.
I know what they do, that's not why I'm here, however...
Why do people make such a big deal out of a harmless computer bot? I see no point in commenting on the bots profiles, because, if people weren't aware of it already; you're not going to get a response.
So why make a big fuss out of the five bots as of you're expecting an answer when you're not going to get one?

Usually we only get the spambots on the forums. Maybe people think
they're just using the names like google or yahoo, instead of actually
being from those companies. |

Ah, alright. I just wasn't sure of their exact purpose. Why would they
be spambots anyways? If they were, wouldn't they be, you know,
spamming? |

That's not really a question to the site. Bots are here to gather
information for said sites (Yahoo, Google etc.). But why people even
bother commenting on their profiles? Who knows. I only remember some
members thinking they were spambots. |

Oh, just some side info; The five bots I counted are Baidu [Spider], Exabot [Bot], Google [Bot], Bing [Bot], and Yahoo [Bot] I know for a fact that Baidu is a bot because Baidu has no information about itself and have been around just as long as the other bots |
