I was just wondering, Are you allowed to enter your own project?

For example, if you do a project that you send work in for people to use, can you join the project and send work in too even if it is your own project?

Well, you can send a link to the people for an example. It wouldn't be fair if you actually were in the contest. Plus, you can't let yourself get any prizes, it wouldn't be fair to the other people who entered. You CAN enter though, only if your giving an example to the people, or to show your artwork to them.
